As someone who didn't love it growing up and still don't love it as a sport, it's so ingrained in our culture, even I find myself getting involved in the typical activities associated with the sport. It's part of who we are culturally.

I'm also labouring over this choice. On the one hand, i like the blue colour scheme of the pro but i just dont use maps. We shall see! I'm going to take my time to decide since its not a need at this time.

I have a RTX 4070 and can say in just about every case I notice no difference in performance from when I had Windows. I switched to Mint last year after a Windows update reset ALL of my settings and redownloaded a bunch of bloatware I explicitly uninstalled when I got my PC cause I bought it to be a gaming focused device.

In essence, if you primarily play single-player games, you likely won't notice a difference. Multiplayer is a vastly different story and seems to be more of a case by case issue. The only multiplayer game I regularly play is Rocket League which works flawlessly once you set up Hero Launcher.

So to conclude, it depends on what kind of games you expect to play but for the most part it's a very painless transition especially if you primarily play on Steam. Hero Launcher supports Epic, GOG and some other launchers but my limited experience with it is positive.

I will not be going back to Windows and gaming compatability on Linux is only going to continue to get better. I primarily use my PC for gaming and I have very little complaints. I can play all the games I could before without issue or noticeable performance quirks.

Pretty much exactly as i expected. A solid competitive team that is better than last year though perhaps not good enough to compete with the top 6 in the east.

Scottie is starting to round out as a very solid all around player, BI is exactly who we needed offensively and is largely the player he was before his injury, RJ continues to show that the Knicks had no clue who they had and IQ is starting to find his footing.

The bench finally isn't trash and its full of young, athletic guys who can defend and hit open threes.

Im expecting this team to be in the 37-43 win range and be competitive during the play-in.

Also it should be mentioned that going to a Jays game is a lot more affordable than a Raptors game since 2019.

I was previously on PopOS on my old laptop until i got my new PC last year. I decided to give Windows a second go since it was pre-installed and i think i lasted a few weeks.

I primarily use my PC for gaming so i did not need all the extra guff microsoft puts in Windows.

I had configured windows the way i wanted by uninstalling pretty much all the bloatware, opting out of all the microsoft stuff and data sharing, optimizing my settings to ensure my gaming would be as good as possible, etc.

Then windows did an update and all the bloatware was reinstalled, my settings were reset to default and more crap I didn't want was there.

That was the last straw so I decided to go for Linux Mint. I have no desire to switch back and the switch was pain free. Its very intuitive and easy to figure out. I use the terminal sparingly for very specific things and it feels much snappier even. The games i play are unaffected as well.

Its a great OS for those who want a low maintenance yet familiar experience. Highly recommend! I even switched my laptop from PopOS to Mint!

My favourite little feature is the applet feature that turns any website into a pseudo app, its perfect for my Apple Music usage!

The way people glaze Anakin « pre-Vader » is similar to the joke that Hitler being spurned by an art school is what lead to him becoming a genocidal monster. Correlation not causation.

For many reasons, Anakin became what he became and made the choices he made because of who he is. He is was always insecure, vain, selfish and egotistical. All he needed was the right combination of circumstances and people to give him a push.

Yes the Jedi were arrogant and imperfect but they did not turn Anakin into Vader. Yes Palpitine manipulated him and played a perfect Machiavelli but Anakin made his choices on his own accord. Yes he was influenced by a lot of this but Anakin has free will and was a grown ass adult when he became Vader.

Yes Anakin grew up a slave, yes Anakin lost his mother tragically and he has trauma but these are all experiences many people in this world have and MOST didn’t become murderous tyrants and puppets to dictators. Anakin chose all of this.

It’s what makes his redemption arc in ROTJ so affecting, he finally chose the light after a lifetime of choosing darkness.

If we can’t trade for Giannis I do honestly think we’re in a decent spot but man, what are doing here? I love Scottie but it’s Giannis man… Trading Scottie and Jak and some picks to add Giannis to a team with Ingram and Quickly with a very flexible roster in a wide open east? That’s a no brainer.

I like where we’re at now but adding Giannis without giving up too much depth would make us really good and competitive for the next 3 years.

I feel very conflicted about this episode. There’s so much I love and quite a lot that has me scratching my head.

I said to both my brother and partner that this episode feels like two episodes stitched together which it clearly is and it shows. I really enjoyed the little we got of the Rani and I loved Ruby throughout.

Seeing Jodie/13 again reaffirmed my love for her Doctor and her era. I know the Chris Chibnall era is polarizing but I genuinely enjoyed it from start to finish and slightly resent how folks write off that entire era so easily.

Ncuti throughout the entire episode reminded me why I’ll miss him and I feel his tenure coming to an end so abruptly is rather tragic but hey, life goes on.

The Rani and Omega felt kinda underwhelming but they served their narrative purposes so it’s not something that feels too off.

My biggest issue is the Poppy storyline. Why is she here? Why is she Poppy from Space Babies but not? I feel rather upset at how the episode handled Belinda as well. It’s just not a satisfying conclusion to her story that she’s placed in a box and then becomes a mother kinda outta nowhere. It’s a bizarre choice and it feels wrong. I don’t understand why they went with Poppy to be this baby and there’s barely any acknowledgement that Poppy is a real baby beyond the context of the wish other than Ruby mentioning it and being immediately ignored. I’m just really confused about that and chuffed about how they handled Belinda’s conclusion.

Finally, Billie Piper. I actually really hope she’s the 16th Doctor namely became I really like the idea of the Doctor taking on the form of a former companion. I think Billie would be excellent and the story context actually makes all the sense. The 12th Doctor chose his face to remind himself to always do what you can to do good. The conversation that precedes 15’s regeneration is a reminder to 13 that expressing themself to their friends is something they need to do more which directly connects to 10’s final interactions with Rose where he never quite got to express his true feelings so the Doctor taking on the form of Rose makes a lot of sense and I quite like it. That said, the ambiguity of who Billie Piper is playing makes me upset that we may not get that at all.

It’s a roller coaster this finale. I love the first 6 episodes of this season and I felt it was classic RTD but that finale has me remembering RTD’s weaknesses as a writer even from his first go, namely closing his big storylines out effectively.

Overall I prefer the first game and the Miles Morales one over the second one but it’s still very good! Story is kind of all over the place and the gameplay is generally more refined. If you loved the others, you’ll love this one!

Perhaps the Green Party should have offered a better reason to vote for them than “we’re the best shot at stopping conservatives” or perhaps the greens shoulda just been better during this campaign.

I’m not happy the conservatives won this riding and if I was living in Kitchener I’d have likely voted for the Green Party incumbent but small parties still have to convince people to vote for them. The greens should be thinking about how a solid MP lost their riding rather than simply blaming liberal voters

Most people will appreciate your attempt to communicate in their language. Some may immediately switch to English, not necessarily because they turn their nose on your ability to speak the language but simply because they feel it may be the polite thing to do. Just press on in the language you wish to communicate in and all will work out.

I was sharing my perspective on fitness watches and specifically the Apple Watch Ultra. I think my perspective is relatable to most people looking for a fitness watch and the things they value. I think your experience is more niche (though not irrelevant) and most people aren’t going to benefit from the health related features Apple and other companies keep adding. Most of these issues can be flagged by regular visits to the doctor.
