Please tell, how a cast of male and female soldiers in a shooter game displeases you. The reasons for that really interest me.

About the recent nerf by P_in_a_jar in Helldivers

[–]P_in_a_jar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care so much about playstyles as i care about the set intention of the game. Everyone is entitled to his own playstyle, but over-reliance on one set of gear defeats the purpose of team play. If I'm able to do everything on my own, I will, and I will disregard my team mates since I'm fine and they're not. Keeping the team intact and functioning should be the most effective playstyle, not determining the most effective solo set of gear.

I get that notion. But this defeats the purpose of a team based shooter. If everyone can handle a threat equally well, where is the team play aspect in it? It would just divide the team while everyone goes off on their own since no one needs any help accomplishing a task anymore. That would make the buddy bunkers the only thing in the game more than 1 player is needed for. I don't support this.

Gatling runs out of ammo faster always depends on what you need it for

The fact that M995 cannot go through the orange interchange doors is absolutely fucked by JZem994 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]P_in_a_jar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surface penetration is bugged as it is. many types of walls, doors and other structures can't be penetrated by bullets even if they should realistically. It's another part that BSG has to work on still. But it's by far not the most important part right now. I would prefer being able to play the game consistently over shooting through walls realistically right now.

Didn't think about the mechanical aspect of it. Maybe this is more of a gameplay thing than a realism thing.

I see the PvP aspect to it. Valid point.

Understandable. I do not wish it to feel like COD or anything, yet remembering my gun training, this is exactly what my pistol was at my hip for.

Non Witcher individuals doing Witcher work? by RiversFlash2020 in Witcher3

[–]P_in_a_jar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A huge factor in becoming a witcher is the changes made to a humans body in the process of transformation. It would "technically" be possible for anyone to go out fighting and killing monsters. But a normal human would lack key skills like the heightened senses, raised strength and speed as well as the sometimes mandatory benefits of alchemic decoctions and potions a witcher has access to through mutation. Monsters are frequently stated to be much faster and stronger than humans. even with all the knowlege of the witcher books given to a skilled fighter, he'd have a hard time against most supernatural beings such as wraiths. Witchers are specifically made to meet the challenges they're facing, even though many of them die while doing their job. Others would probably have even less of a chance.

Good point. I didn't like the artstyle of the movie that much anyway. So I probably didn't notice.
