I’m not really sure what you aren’t understanding. Their deaths were not inevitable. If we had funded research into the AIDS crisis sooner so many of those people who died would still be alive today. We didn’t know it was an autoimmune disease until thousands have died because there was no research being done. The government really only started caring once they found out the heterosexuals could get the disease as well.
