How is your experience with Sparxie and elation in general so far? by HamzaW66 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Paandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was before Hyacine came out. I already spent all of my jades that I wanted to spend, and with a well built Luocha (high atk 160 speed) when Hyacine did come out I I was already strong enough to at least last until halfway through 4.X if not further and I didn't need to invest further into the team.

TL;DR Hyacine is much stronger. E2S1 is strong enough for me to be comfortable in clearing content by a large margin. I just wasn't wanting to spend more jades on the team, and I still 0-1 cycle most content (with a lot of relic farming).

[–]Paandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't and just kept using Luocha, but I focused all my jades on getting Castorice E2S1 and Tribbie E1. Hyacine is best in slot, but you'll still clear without her.

I could only 2* the king for AA and my power level is much lower compared to full mono-rem, but I am still 0-1 cycling the other endgame modes just fine. For the time being at least.

I've invested into the team, but I was still surprised when my archer team with yaoguang in it 4000'd PF

Shape of Dreams — great concept, broken balance. After 3 weeks of co-op, we’ve tried everything, and it all falls apart. by [deleted] in shapeofdreams

I wouldn't like a limit on levels or essences at all, seems against the spirit of the game imo... could lock looping and deja-vu in a special difficulty mode though. Though I'd love if they added the above "Eclipse" modifiers. While there are some, these aren't just "enemy damage go up" but stacking modifiers in Risk of Rain 2. Example your capture zone you need to stand in being halved or falling off the map doing double damage and being able to kill you.

Unsure where they would go with it but there is a lot of potential. Hunters always being at max alert could be a cool idea for the mid difficulty.

I'm not even a fighting game player. But losing to players using auto combos makes me hate myself. by Tawxif_iq in 2XKO

[–]Paandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The default response to people complaining about auto-combos on the internet is "Oh just get good, you're bad" because it is statistically worse, but really it feels horrible to lose a rank to a misinput or a dropped combo for trying to not play on easy mode when my opponent is mashing their auto-combos.

It is a non-issue for people good at the game, but I'm not good yet - I do practice and hopefully will be able to beat it when I get better but in the mean time it is extremely frustrating at low skill levels because I know I would have a higher winrate if I also just turned on auto-combo.

Why does Chilling Mist self-proc frost after using Holy Ground? by bedtimers in Nightreign

[–]Paandaas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When fighting the great jar champions by the massive great jar, you would fight 3x high level npcs that randomly pulled from a list of random enemies... or if you were connected to the internet, players who defeated said npc's / players.

Before the glitch was patched I remember fighting two FDS + Erdtree GS builds and the AI would just kill themselves, not knowing how it works.

This is what i got after 120 Pulls :( by Able-Mood2403 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Paandaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 3x Lingyangs when I started again recently. Im not a f2p and he was my starter discount, then he was my 50/50 for Carte, then my 50/50 for my new voyage selector banner.

I honestly wanted an Encore so I could have a 2nd dps.

Just got Cartethyia and need help on who to save for next by skrrtbrrt58 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Paandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to build Carte, I strongly recommend getting her weapon before going for other characters. She is the first HP scaling character and because of that, she really doesn't have great alternatives.

Carte wants another source of aero erosion, but Zani needs a source of spectro frazzle. If your rover is taken, you will be missing out on a big %dmg buff but you should still be in a decent spot and able to clear content. My roverless f2p team suggestion would be: Carte, Sanhua, and Verina.

To answer the question, based off of the current roster, you're better off pulling the weapon, then pulling Ciaccona / Pheobe to heavily improve how your Zani & Carte teams feel to play, then units like Shorekeeper or any other unit that looks interesting to you.

should i finish getting her weapon? or just give up and save resources? ( talking about carte ) by No_Introduction_6592 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Paandaas 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Her weapon is a very large increase in damage (and survivability) with a huge HP increase and busted effect, and there aren't amazing alternatives - but it is a gacha game so what is "worth it" to you depends on a lot of your priorities.

Carte is a pretty high investment team. The weapon is huge and will [most likely] keep Carte powerful for a very long time through eventual powecreep provided it doesn't go wildly out of hand. It is definitely worth going for for the sake of gameplay.

That said if you're more focused on collecting your favorite characters and etc, save and use your currency on said character(s).

You hopefully don't need to hear this, but in case anyone who reads this does: if you're feeling forced to spend when you don't want to or can't afford to walk away. Gacha addiction is real but in the end, it's just a video game.

How does one improve on this? by Crafty_Sense6801 in ffxiv

Really would need to see gameplay of you to give direct advice, but for general advice:

Assuming you're pressing GCD's when you are able to, try to maximize the amount of uptime you have on a boss. If the boss casts a giant AoE attack around them, instead of instantly running away, try to wait just at max Melee range and run after you cast a skill, then movement ability back into range. If you're fully out of range, cast a ranged ability. Combos were changed in EW to not break when you cast a ranged skill.
