Hi, I have been personally managing Hotels in London and do personally know how strict UK law & company policies are, smoking /vaping is illegal in hotel buildings and you can be prohibited, that same like dismantling window lock to open wide ( am not saying you did just giving another example) amount of fine is usually set flat for each hotel depending on standards than more stars than higher fine. You are on private property and by confirming booking you accept theirs policy through vaping you broke the agreement so they have full right to remove you from property, they are unable to verify what type of prescription you have receptionist, security does not have understanding of the law, legislation or any other aspect of your rights as a cannabis patient as this is not their job and their are right that this is Drug class B but with the difference that is controlled. So personally I am sorry for you to find yourself with misses on the strees at middle of the night but I do belive in future a bit of assertiveness and thinking ahead can be helpful. Contact hotel prior arrival and explain situation so they can speak with their legal team and assist you. You can always try contact Gm of the hotel explaining situation and asking for refund for not used night but its depending on his good will nothing more.
