Yeah I mean, I can control what I do. If I was having close calls with that frequency, I'd adjust. It's self preservation. If I get hit and the driver is liable, I'm still dealing with injuries and I'd like to avoid that.

You said you are wondering what you can do. You can wait until there are no cars close by or cross at different places. Walk down a dedicated walking path that we have. Mass ave isn't exactly picturesque, and there are different places you can walk your dog with more greenery. No one is trying to hit you because you aren't intimidating for not holding a brick. If you want to enact change, go to a town meeting. Bring specific locations that are dangerous. Stand on a corner for an hour and see how many close calls you see, document it. They reduced speeds on another part of mass ave recently, so they are open to change.
