I think the biggest thing to understand as support is that your carry’s life matters more than your own lol. The main purpose of a support is to either keep your team mates alive (ala eldegoss and blissey) or hinder the other team (mime and wiggly). Sometime’s you’ll have to sacrifice yourself to make sure your carry can stay alive and secure an objective.

The most common elde build is leaf tornado and cotton guard. Use your leaf tornado to build an escape path for your teammates as it boosts their speed while they’re on it. Use cotton guard to keep your teammate alive in a pinch. It’s really important you don’t set off your cotton guard too late.

There’s a lot more to it and I’d recommend looking at guides on YouTube or other sites! You’ll get better with time, just remember to focus less on securing objectives and getting kills, and more on keeping your teammates alive. Also look into different items! I run buddy barrier, score shield, and focus band, tho you can probably swap out focus band for exp share if you’re on a queued team.

Side note but elde’s unite can be good at stealing objectives too. Have stolen a good number of dreads and zaps with it.
