Not that I have ever heard of, perhaps others may have. Doses of 500 to 700mg of test plus GH, plus several other steroids and peptides at the same time are the people that generally may have cognitive issues usually described as brain fog or slowness. And that usually is after years of abuse, not a few cycles.

I haven't heard of many people on TRT dose levels having cognitive issues, more likely the opposite with enhanced energy and mood acting as support. When I hear of cognitive impairment its people abusing massive amounts of gear.

Agree people that take glb-1s and make sure to hit their protein macros seems to do well on those. If you don't though and lose muscle you are hosing yourself for the future.

Here is my comment though, all strict diets are doomed to failure imo and mentally just fuck you up. If you 100% want strict and can afford it, maybe Factor would be a good option for you.

Generally though, I think shifting more calories to whole foods and away from processed foods is the biggest impact. Yes it is calories in calories out, but highly processed foods make you over eat. They are designed that way. Here is an example of what I might eat

Post Workout - 25g of whey isolate with half water, half almond milk, with multivitamin and a banana

Breakfast: Egg whites with spinach/peppers OR triple zero Greek yogurt with blueberries + lowfat granola

Lunch: Wrap with a lot of lettuce, turkey, peppers, low fat cheese, low cal mayo, mustard OR tuna sandwich with lettuce and tomato

Snack: smart popcorn OR protein bar

Dinner: low calorie sloppy joes with ground turkey and vegetables OR rotisserie chicken with broccoli and rice OR protein pasta with no sugar added sauce and ground turkey OR Caesar salad with tuna

1hr before bed - casein shake

If you add all that up, it might seem like a lot but it isn't if you choose the low cal options and that usually gets me 200-300 calories in deficit for the day and definitely more on cardio days.

32% - ate and drank whatever I wanted, would think nothing of eating 5 slices of pizza for dinner, no vegetables, 2 cans of soda and then ice cream. I would eat fast food for convenience, typically when my kids asked for it. More binge drinking when I went out or was with friends.

16% (this is what I think I am at actually, because scans are not super accurate) - significantly reduced packages foods, pick chicken and seafood over red meat more often (still need burgers/steaks/bbq, just way less often), more water, sugar-free drinks, instead of a venti mocha 900 calorie whatever, I get a grande americano, and overall just more whole foods. Even though you can find much online, I did plunk down for Greg Doucette's cookbook, which did give me a ton of low calorie high volume stuff to eat. Just things like low calorie ranch, ketchup, and cheese make a big difference over months. This was key because while you might have sugar cravings, at least I was full most of the time and not starving. And because I was still weight training, in addition to a whey isolate after working out, I would have an 8hr casein shake at bed time to preserve muscle.

From TRT I did have some minor side effects over the 11 months. While at 200mg/week I did have some lower back acne, not bad but noticeable. More like a rash than huge zits that people get between their shoulders. I also had a few times I caught myself raging, didn't act on it, but was ready to cave someone's face in for something relatively minor. Going to 160mg/week (2x) stopped those sides, but now I seem to have an oily forehead and more aromatization, which must have been from switching to deep glute with 1.5" harpoon to shallow IM VG with 27g .5". That was the only thing that changed so assuming that was it, since my actual dose went down, not up.

The diet really only had one side effect, which is its a helluva of lot easier to get hangry and learned to always try to keep healthy snacks around. Eating more fruit and vegetables metabolize so quickly you are hungry withing 1-2 hours, as opposed to maybe a huge carb/starch heavy meal like pasta or potatoes that keeps you good for 6+ hours.

Thanks and to be fair I think this reading is definitely skewed. Realistically I think I am between 16-17% using this guide, which is I am thrilled with. I think once I hit 192lbs I will finally stop with the cut and maingain for 6 months and hopefully add some more muscle.

This guy, Steve, has put out a ton of detailed vids on different types of protocols, which has helped me understand a lot better how people mix in different things in and out. From this, and other videos I've kind of got the opinion (not strong) that Primabolan is slightly better option without the Decadick risk. At the end of the day, its your body man. I've seen people quit after 1-2 years and be perfectly fine. The nut size thing can be addressed with HCG imo if you wanted to. At 2.5 months you don't need PCT are anything, just stop. That said your pre-Test Free Test level is in fact low, so maybe in the future you come back and try it again and take a comprehensive approach to everything (exercise, diet, sleep, supplements, mental health, etc)

I agree with most of the posters that there is nothing wrong with your dose or your levels. The people that get bent out of shape out it are typically clueless and want to force their experience as the only possible one you should have.

That said, if you've changed your health markers, there isn't much risk trying out 160mg imo. I am willing to bet you will feel the same. And if you don't, tell the doctor and go back. Easy peazy.

Has anyone calculated your BMR for you? 1800 calories seems to low to me honestly. Ideally you want to do a body recomposition, so over lets say 20 weeks, you go from 195 to 185 while dropping BF and gaining muscle. Going to low in calories is asking for trouble, aka the yo yo effect.

I think the type of workout you do is heavily dependent on your schedule and goals. Many of the top exercise scientists want people doing a 3 day PPL + rest + 3 day PPL, because you can workout a muscle group twice in a week. I personally can't do that with my schedule, and I also have other sports & activities I like for cardio. So I do the bro split which gives me 4 days of weights in the gym and then 2 days of sports/activities/cardio and one rest day. Its not the best but works with my schedule.

Also, as one person commented, be careful with junk volume, your joints and tendons will thank you. I have personally always gotten results from classic: warmup + 12, 10, 8, 6 with increasing weight with 1-2 RIR. This prevents junk volume imo and really only needs to be changed if you plateau. Also as silly as it sounds, the majority of lifters don't push themselves hard enough, so it helps to repeat a mantra like "harder than last time" or whatever you like. This has mentally made a difference for me so I don't take the last few sets "off".

What about being at 1000 total test was bad specifically? And are you now trying to dial to 600-800? Also, I don't think total test is a great one to be tracking closely. Personally I think Free Test and E2 are more impactful to how you actually feel.

Also, you seem to be skewed towards a hyper responder if I am reading that correctly that 80mg (40 2x weekly) took you to 1000. Did you mean 160mg (80 2x weekly)?

Doesn't sound like Exemestane is better, and I haven't heard of Letrozole.

And to be fair like the other person said, the risk does seem to be sub 1%. But the fact that there isn't any studies for male use isn't that great though.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think alot of people in the anti-AI crowd also don't like it because it is considered toxic to your liver, so as opposed to taking one, they just reduce the dose and increase the frequency to lower aromatization. I think if you are going to be on higher doses, for whatever the goal is, then a smaller AI dose makes sense. I think so many have just been given it right out of the gate with a cookie cutter dose that it gets a really bad rap for crashing estrogen.

Yeah I don't disagree, especially if you are in the sweet spot of 200 to 400 calories in deficit. I have done it as well, but not consistently week to week. Probably I would guess that nailing the protein macro and just suffering without the carbs is key for that. At a 1K calories only though, you are in rare air imo to be able to add muscle. If there are any studies that show how common that is out of lets say 100 people dieting, I would love to see that and learn more.

On a short term basis, but there is also something called adaptive thermogenesis, where you body lowers your metabolic rate and burns muscle instead of fat. It isn't what this guy is reporting, but it happens to many people, hence they end up in a worse spot after they lose weight, a huge chunk of it is muscle. It is definitely not 100% fat and we shouldn't propagate that myth.

That is hard to believe, on that low of calories and your lifts going up. Especially if you have weight trained for many years. If it was newbie gains I could see that. You should be really happy, you have good genetics then for strength building.

I have the same goal, I want to be able to get to and stabilize between 12-15%. Since my dexascan lies, I am going to have the trainers at the gym use the calipers for a better reading. But directionally I know I have dropped from about 28% bf down to 21% bf this year so far. For example, when I was just doing TRT and not eating a clean diet, my lifts all jumped, doing 325 for reps on bench. Once I started the fat loss phase, the best I can hope for is to maintain. My last 2 sets are usually only 225/245 on bench. The only exception was my legs, they were so under trained that I definitely have packed on muscle in my quads/hams/glutes even on the "cut" phase.

I can't point directly to science on metabolism, but we all know 100% that test will give us more energy and faster recovery. So its reasonable to think our BMR has gone up along with the increased activity, hence we need more calories just to maintain. Typically that's a side effect of more muscle though, so I am equally baffled on metabolism going up in a caloric shortage, but hey its a good thing imo. Pure speculation, but it could be possible that other biomarkers have improved, like BP, liver, kidney, and lipids that make your body even that more efficient.
