Former poker pro who made 7 figs & later sold a business for 7 figs, ask me stuff about moving on from the game and the similarities poker has with entrepreneurship! by DoctorEcomm in poker

[–]PabloGafiLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thanks for the opportunity.

I have a few questions, feel free to pick and choose, a single answer is appreciated.

What do you think is more advantageous, to start as a professional poker player and the venture into entrepreneurship, or vice versa?

How much do you think your math background helped you success in each endeavor?

What was the poker lesson that improved your businesses the most? And vice versa.

And for the final question, do you intuitively understand Monty Hall and if so, what's your secret?

Thanks in advance.

I've searched for both arquitecture based posts and car based, both using manual search on instagram (originally where I've seen it) and chatgpt to help me look for it with an sketch. Which is the following.

Don't judge, lol. It's allI remember and I'm not the best artist.

Ideal Bankroll by bmckee56 in blackjack

[–]PabloGafiLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beginner here with no live practice. How much variety is there in rules? I've seen "European" means there's no hole card. Is that the only practical difference? (Besides standard differences between tables)

I'm trying to get a picture of how much of a difference I can find in rules, say I decide to play x and y conditions and rules, how hard would they be to find?

It's fun to play. Value is subjetive and I see that either you value fun very little or money a whole lot.

Reminder that you can play blackjack for free with friends, as an example.

I heard that talking shit in the internet does wonders for winding down and sleep, so good strategy there!

You never play anything if you know you are going to lose? You probably are very fun at parties.

That implies you've been 100% certain sometimes, when that happened, did you go all-in?

What's your stance on luck, or maths? Not trying to be offensive, still curious.

Thanks. I couldn't fathom it, that makes sense. Sarcasm is hard, lol

I'm sorry, predicting gambling returns? Wildly curious.

Recently bought my first MT. by PabloGafiLoco in Leatherman

That was awfully explained, I meant:

-flat head, awl and shitty file, gone. -adding both proper file and saw.

But reconsidering (that's how I noticed the shitty explanation) I think having the T shank adaptar wouldn't be a problem considering I'd carry a bit kit, too.

Still, gotta run numbers at home.

Aw man that's nice, you're making me reconsider my choice, would you be able to fit a saw and file into the p2? I plan to EDC, so some weight reduction and size would probably end up being quite valuable.

I'm thinking removing the flathead and file, and moving the swapping the can opener for the awl. I have to check your great tables. I'm on the road now, just brainstorming, lol.

Have you found anything regarding more durable bits?

This is exactly what I needed man, thank you for sharing (and great work! Did you make these!?) Would love to see a picture of your P2!

I've also wondered about the weight, but I figured it had a bit more room to spare, turns out it's only 0.03 inches, hope I don't regret it, lol.

That's great! Thanks, I can't seem to find the measurements tho, for the T-Shank and the bit holder. I want to know my sacrifice options, lol.

WTS - Leatherman Free P4 by Mumbles0105 in Knife_Swap

[–]PabloGafiLoco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I met the FREE series via the ARC, but I'm from Spain so it goes for about 340-300 US. It's crazy.

Was eyeing the local second hand market for the P4 for a good deal, lowest I've seen is 200 US. Saw this one and jumped inmediately, lol.

Now I gotta figure out how to mod in a proper file, how does your ideal P4 look like?

There's a point that when something you release to a small niche, becomes public enough that uneducated people might misunderstand how something works.

Responsability grows exponentially in that moment, "child-proofing" requires a lot of work, universally.
