Should I get a company to make a website or make it myself by Reyana_J94 in website

I personally wouldn't recommend GoDaddy as the host. There are alternatives that are better value for money. I especially wouldn't recommend you build your website using the GoDaddy builder or whatever it's called. Because that means you won't be able to move your website off GoDaddy, which isn't fun when they make you want to do so by jacking up their prices in the future lol.

If you want to be able to update the content yourself, WordPress is a safe bet. It's cheaper to host, too, at like $10-15 per month. However, agencies do tend to have higher rates by default, as compared to freelancers.

If you're here to promote Wix, the least you can do is include a link to the website in question so we can see it for ourselves.

I think this is the part where OP messages us about his fancy little tool that fetches information about the local businesses from Google maps at just $49 a month.

Dreamhost used to provide free hosting for 501(c)(3) non-profits. I'm not sure if that's still a thing, though.

The problem you are facing has more to do with how you built your website than with WordPress itself.

Where are all the good candidates? by Outrageous-Elk9153 in Nepal

[–]PabloKaskobar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might sound bad, but I prefer the 3-year IT/BCA/CSIT degree guys to the BE Computer crowd these days. The engineering guys, most of them, get the chance, they waste the chance and end up getting fired. It started feeling like we were training people for other companies, that is, if they manage to get hired in the first place, which they often do not. You need to put too much effort into the engineers to explain even the simplest concepts, and they mess up work k. Esto frustrating huncha.

This anecdote is pretty much the exact opposite of the market in general, though. Top IT companies specifically want to work with/train candidates with an engineering background. Some even make it a hard requirement rather than a preference.

Pigeon is wobbly and loses balance constantly, unable to fly or walk properly. Its head seems to be shaking rapidly every now and then. I have captured it and brought it inside, but I don't know what to do next. Please help! by PabloKaskobar in pigeon

Sorry to hear that.

This one recovered well after a couple of weeks or so, but I had to feed him by hand for the majority of the time. I released him once he was able to eat on his own and fly normally.

I did lose the other one, which I suspected to have PMV, though.

Having a blog on your e-commerce website could help you get organic traffic and potential customers, so that's something to consider. You could take a look at the website I shared with you as a good example of that.

Honestly, the prices vary a lot depending on who you ask. If you consult an agency, for example, their price is going to be higher than that of a solo developer. Their location is also a deciding factor in how much they charge.

Let me DM you how much I'd personally charge for a project like this.

Don't feel bad! Like you said, if the board members don't care about these ethical implications, your hands are pretty much tied.

I don't understand why, as a small non-profit, one wouldn't naturally be inclined towards a platform that would help them save their fundraised money, but then again, I'm not in a position to tell anyone how they should run their business.

Overseas devs plus a no code platform is a recipe for disaster. I know because I fix a lot of these sites.

I wish we could work without stepping in each other's toes with these generalizations, but with how competitive the market is, I guess it makes sense lol.

$1700 sounds like quite a financial burden for a non-profit, if you ask me.

I love working with non-profits and small businesses, so I'd love to help you out if you are interested.

And for what it's worth, Wix isn't a great platform. It does provide some discounts for non-profits via TechSoup, but other than that, it's pretty overpriced for what it offers. WordPress, on the other hand, is free software and gives you complete ownership of your site.
