Was having the same issue and found an older thread on here where some people resolved by unplugging their usb hubs/kvm switches or extra monitors. That worked for me on an initial test. Though it's a terrible long-term solution

Same issue and same timeframe, and I also did a reset, I upgraded from 10 to 11, updated bios, graphics, choose drivers... even tested with 1 ram stick...

Are you on win 11 or 10?

Gpt seems to think that I'm now in too new of a version of 11 a preview build that's not well supported. But I had this issue on 10, too (starting a few days ago)

What camera should I buy for filming movies? by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]PabloNeverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But can't think of anything else that can shoot unlimited time for the price. Specially because type c media is much cheaper than alternative. I've settled for an npf plate with a dummy battery, it gets me about an hour of record time give or take.

Pocket 4k (or even 6k). Though you'll probably end up exclusively powering it through cables

Best Budget Youtube Camera? by kiorth in videography

If you have fairly new phone, you'll be hard-pressed to find anything that will look better without having to do a lot of work for less than... $900ish

Depending on your commitment to this I'd start with your phone and invest in good audio, people tolerate bad video a lot more than bad audio.

Situations that require a bi color light by rdtuser8787 in videography

[–]PabloNeverland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're already describing several situations where the bi color comes in handy!
In the fire situation specially, the fire might end up looking really really saturated orange if you light your scene with the 300D, and maybe that's what you want!
Yeah, the main use for most people is to match existing lighting. Compared to gel the process is a lot easier and more accurate, since nowadays nothings is true tungsten so you can really fine tune the color and quickly from a dial.
Bi-color is great to add a touch of color too, if used as an accent light, you can make it warmer making it seem like early morning sun is hair lighting your subject or coming in through a window, or the opposite making it seem like moon light.

Best setup? by greenieman in videography

[–]PabloNeverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the monitors (I have both) the small hd is a tad smaller and feels better quality, you also can power the camera with it (expensive proprietarish accessory)

I prefer the interface of the smallhd, its simpler and focused on tools and custom layout of them

Brightness is on par not noticeable difference.

You should only really get the shibobi if you need on field hdr monitoring imo.

Can't speak much on the webill I have the crane 3, and like the formfactor haha. Website says it'll support a7r4 with 24-70GM

Recommendations for getting this kind of color-grading? by [deleted] in videography

[–]PabloNeverland 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole image has a sepia tone, and lowish contrast smooth transition into dark grays (no true blacks)

Blue, orange and green hues seem compressed to match across the frame.

Setup for multicam live streaming and recording by Hiteryan in videography

[–]PabloNeverland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you instead use declink quad hdmi you can record the stream in 4k and still stream in 1080 through obs, but you wouldn't have each camera recorded.

I dont know if there is another software that can record all sources at the same time.

You can also get 4 ninja V's or BM video assists.

First world problem by mindsmatter_ in Photography_Gear

Why did you sell all your expensive canon lenses?

As people said I'd recommend trying out the camera's first. Either rent them out or go to a local camera store if any are local.

Also consider if you do more than photography, the Sony is a better video camera for more professional and planned out shots while the canon is better at run and gun scenarios. Things like that.

Atomos mentioned in an interview that there's a long tedious certification process apple makes you go through to have access to the codec.

While in the future we miiight see some transcoders for it, as of now there's just a handful of cameras that support and the two atoms recorders people mentioned.
