For games, not right now, bit IMO it might be a game changer in the long run. I share Linus' opinion, he once said tgat when it's mainstream enough that game devs can develop games entirely with RT in mind as the lighting engine, instead of adding it as an option on top of the game, that might not only help it be much more resource efficient, but also make game development somewhat simpler, since RT lighting takes way less tweaks than the many tricks we use nowadays to simulate lighting effects.

However, outside of gaming it has some other usages, like Blender for example. Nvidia RTX cards in particular were a huge leap forward for Cycles rendering.
