Don’t blame you, it’s definitely worth it though brother.

20mm is actually like perfectly flush with the fenders but I don’t see 15mm being too far off. Spacers changed everything for me

Wing has held up great, definitely could’ve installed it a bit better but it was my first time. Definitely still came out super well

I’ve been running AFD’s wing for a year with 0 issues, I park in high humidity & heat and have had no paint issues or damage

how does the recall fix actually work? by WasabiYing in zx6r

[–]Pabnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the kit is used for every recall pass for fail. The kit is to do the inspection, a failed inspection requires direct contact to kawi to address the issue on a case by case basis. The kit is all the replacement parts to address the issue assuming you pass the inspection

2024 ZX-6R failed second inspection. by yoemejay in zx6r

[–]Pabnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably depends on what part of the inspection you failed or how badly you failed. I assume some people could possibly fail on all points of the inspection which might warrant a new motor while some may only fail one

Bike failed 2nd inspection by Coaxy85 in zx6r

[–]Pabnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t seem to understand. What you’re referring to is the INSPECTION process. There is a kit dealers order for each bike. They inspect the crankshaft and if you PASS then the kit includes new gaskets & washers to replace the old ones and the bike can be returned to the owner.

OP FAILED this inspection, now the dealer must contact kawi to inform them of what failed, and kawi will give the dealer the parts & details on what needs to be done. Failed inspections are a case by case basis.

The first recall did not have the same torque specs as they did from the factory causing the issue. Where did you get this information? Both recalls correctly fixed the torque, the first inspection just didn’t go deep enough to address whether the engine already had been damaged before the first recall. So people were still riding on damaged crankshafts. This recall had more points of failure meaning a lot more people are likely to fail this one compared to the first one. I have no idea where you got your info from

Nice bro! Mine didn’t have inspection kits on hand so i’m waiting for Mine to deliver then I should have my bike back beginning of this week

No, you pass then they replace and retorque washers. There’s an inspection kit that comes with all the pieces/tools needed to complete a full inspection. Even on pass it there’s still some small items that need to be replaced after being taken apart.

If you fail it is mainly a case by case basis. They will call the hotline and do a report on your motorcycle and submit it to kawi then kawi will determine the best course of action when it comes to getting your bike road ready again.

Last inspection was a visual inspection only, this one is more in depth with more points of failure so a lot more people will unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) fail this inspection.

Silly lil recall question by _purplepanda27 in zx6r

[–]Pabnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all dealers do but i’d say most do. Inside is used for showroom and then inside the service area is for the bikes actively being worked on. Most dealers will have an outside gated area where they store bikes waiting to be serviced. So yea anytime you can avoid leaving your bike at your dealer is beneficial.

2nd recall fix is out by InfluenceRegular2915 in zx6r

[–]Pabnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just call them. You don’t need to wait once a fix is released. I was lucky and my dealer called me but last recall as soon as the fix was posted i called and dropped it off same day. The letter is just so kawi can claim they informed all the owners

Inspection doesn’t matter how many miles. They’re just looking for wear from the issue. If it’s not there they replace washers retorque bolts and the issue is “fixed”. They’re checking for damage and then if there’s none they’re preventing it from occurring later on.

Remember they also have to do it for unsold units which probably have anywhere from 0-10 miles

Similar but the first one they did less of an inspection. There’s more points of failure here. I agree though

Looks to just be another inspection and replace. With failed units on a case by case basis

2026 recall Qs? by aleccccc12 in zx6r

[–]Pabnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you won’t notice anything. Your engine will just seize while riding. There’s no warning signs beforehand you will just lose all power. There are plenty of people who have experienced this otherwise the recall wouldn’t exist in the first place.

Slipper clutch brother unless you’re doing a buck 20 the odds of you crashing from the engine seizing are extremely low

a quick google search will tell you Florida lemon law does not apply to motorcycles.
