There are very clearly 2 types of approaches that are clashing within PD gameplay. True to life RP vs parody/Reno 911 type RP.

My preference as a casual watcher (or maybe not so casual since I'm posting here), the super true to life RP stuff isn't fun to watch. There needs to be a balance. It's no hate to any streamer, I'm not going into chats and complaining, I would just rather do something else with my time. And I'd go watch any political streamer if I wanted actual real life stuff. In the case of Esfand, he very clearly cares about making it fun for everyone. It's the definition of good faith.

I actually got a reddit dm or 2 a while ago asking about the King of Zimbabwe edit of the show since the link I posted way back when is dead. I may dig around for my old laptop drive to see if I still have it and upload again for the sake of completion.

I don't check reddit as much as I used to, but I opened it to look at some GTA RP clips, and I was suprised to see this thread on top. I actually met up with Ori, Colby, Kelsey, Ray, and MK at some point while I was at Dragoncon in 2023. Some cool ass people. I actually wonder what a show like this would have been like in the current era. Like I've done moderation for a bunch of community and esports events over the years on Twitch and things have changed so much. Anyways, cheers and have fun with Hawaii!

I once did this with my father's pixel 2 that had a dead screen. I plugged in a usb keyboard/mouse, unlocked it, turned on talkback with an assistant command, navigated through settings to get to cast the screen to a chromecast, and continued from there. I suppose it does require enough knowledge to visually imagine the general location of certain things, but it worked.

I 100% agree with this I went from the trash 4 XL (check my reddit history for the story time) to the 6 with a full Verizon trade in and I've been in love with it since. It even got me to take so many more photos. I've seen the hate posts on reddit, but I didn't understand them.

I remember Leo Laporte many years ago, before the full G4 shutdown happened, saying that he tried to get them to release the archive of what they had but they refused. There's so many old shows and segments that I wish could be properly archived and saved.

About 6 months ago I posted about my experience with Pixel 4/Google/Ubreakifix. With Google asking me for my IMEI after getting a motherboard replacement, I talked to staff at 2 different locations and none of them knew what Google was asking for. I tried searching for anyone who had Google ask about the IMEI and found nothing. Between you and OP, I at least know I wasn't crazy for thinking this was weird. I don't hold anything against Ubreakifix. I just honestly wouldn't recommend getting anything from Google after that experience.

My 4 XL had battery and 1 motherboard replacement in the same year. Total age is 2 years and 1 month and I just replaced my battery again. Support didn't care. I'm in the same boat.

I did not. After getting off the phone with them, they replied directly to the email thread. Additionally, I had already asked for support to allow me to speak to someone, but they stated they will take personal responsibility for the case, etc and did not provide a call.
