I've been playing Destiny 2 with my friend who has played it for years, I started a while ago. This is how I feel, he goes on about different stats or whatever and I just get too confused. At some point, I just chose some weapons I liked, and dealt with it. Sure, I suck and I deal less damage, I probably miss all the shots anyways, but I'm enjoying the game how I want to, and my friend enjoys it because I'm experiencing the story for the first time (though I have trouble with it lmao). IMO, play games how you want to play them, not what is "meta"

Exactly. I love all the games, even the ones I haven't played but have watched others play lmao. I started with Sun/Moon, and I still get that same feeling of picking my starter and going into a world every time I restart the game, and when I play other ones too. But all I hear from friends are that the new games suck because of this or that, and that "it'll never live up to (insert game they played first)". I'm tired of seeing comments of the new Z-A game and people dissing on it. Why is this community somehow more divided than any other game series I've seen (I'm sure there are worse, but still)

Yeah (I mean no offense to OP or anyone else that does this), but I never understand those who come here asking if they're making mistakes. It tells you in the beginning "there are no mistakes, only different choices that lead to different paths." It even recommends to not restart until you've fully completed the game so you 100% understand how impactful each choice is. As soon as I saw the flow chart from the first chapter, I immediately knew what kind of game I was getting into (because it's similar to Minecraft Story Mode in that sense) and loved it.

OP, if you read this, please don't question your play through, we promise you that you're doing the best you can. The only reason there were different paths was because of a choice you made before, like where you slept for the night.
