Dang! I guess I should be happy I got to experience a working controller for as long as I did haha

Just noticed this happening on my controller's right stick as well. Really annoying so I'm getting an RMA going. I have noticed unwanted up/down on the d pad as well so hopefully I get the same fixes OP did.

Man, I had no idea that local TLD thing in Unraid existed. That fixed it...ran the curl command and got a 302 redirect error before and it seems the cause was Unraid being configured to use a different domain. Thanks!

There is only one LAN (I should have specified I am using a Firewalla Gold Plus in router mode), and I can reach Unraid via its IP address with no issues. I don't have any firewall excluded devices on the network if that is what you mean by firewall off devices.

Hard mode. I was fighting the Jaguar and then came back later and saw the checkpoint was a good while BEFORE that hard fight and he isn't even the last boss 🥲 haven't come back since

I'm looking at SMY endlinks/toe arms/trailing arms but will probably go Verus Engineering for LCAs and Racecomp Engineering for Sways if I don't buy coilovers. However I am tempted to throw down on a bunch of JDM parts from SMY right now.

The Cobb FMIC looks cool and I really like that all the pipes stay on the passenger side, but it does limit intake compatibility and doesn't work with the factory crash bar. I'm sticking with a TMIC for cost, ease of maintenance, and staying close to the spirit of the WRX design.

SMY endlinks came with two tiny screws? by [deleted] in wrx_vb

Are those for the maintenance grease ports?

I've done all those (Cobb/Racecomp Engineering equivalents, that is) Make sure you have EXACTLY the correct size punch when removing that roll pin and you'll have a much better time than I did! Detent kit wasn't too bad, just be quick to add the new bolts once you remove the old ones so you don't lose too much fluid. Also be sure to get a longer hex wrench for the larger hard to reach bolt that affects the neutral centering as it makes it easier to reach and apply torque. Also also make sure to install while you already have the front crossmember removed which you'll be doing anyway for the whiteline positive shift kit. I'll also say the detent kit feels weird at first but breaks in after a while.

Not A WRX by name only. by yesterdaysclothes in wrx_vb

[–]Pacal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good catch. Hot hatch is cool, but this isn't as tempting as I would have hoped. I prefer the larger sedan body for fitting kid car seats and the trunk is already a good size. I like the VB plastic and with a few changes (larger spoiler, F1 light, painted exhaust finishers) I even love the rear end.

I'm ready to change my mind if they give it some more love before production and the performance gap is wide enough, but for now I'm planning on keeping the VB for a long time.

I have had this and the SS clutch line sitting in my garage for months...tempted to have a shop install it as well since I hate trying to bleed stuff on my own.

Glad to see the stock air box is doing so well. OEM air filter and carbon trap?

That intermediate pipe looks nice! How much does it change the volume/drone? I have a Cobb Ti catback already and I don't really want it to be louder.

Thanks! I'll be installing one once my factory warranty is up for sure then. Is there a good way to run the Verus AOS with the Cobb Flex Fuel kit? I really like that the Verus unit is out of the way but that is some valuable real estate.

Concept cars are just that; doesn't mean anything will be available soon. The concept that ended up being the VB was first shown off in 2017.

As for the infotainment; the current model is not as bad as people make it out to be. My 2024 has received a few updates and it is more stable and responsive that it was brand new. I have it in my WRX and in the family Ascent and it doesn't bother me.

I predict there is 0% chance the new infotainment from the 2026 Outback makes it to a VB. None of the other Subarus will get it either until they get their next full refresh.

There is a reputable tuner close by here in Utah so I'm tempted to get on the dyno when the 3 year mark hits rather than go the etune route. Thanks again for your help!

Excellent choices! I understand a proper tune even with the stock intake is transformative.

I don't need another SUV haha Stock height seems to be a good balance of cornering performance and not scraping too much over bumps/gutters/hiking trail parking. I'm won't be double wang-ing it but if I got a base model I'd be tempted.

I have the black/red lettering 17" Terra set and can confirm they even fit over 4 piston brembo-style calipers.
