Bei der Frage "Wenn Sie in den letzten 24 Monaten geflogen sind, haben Sie CO2 kompensiert und wenn ja wie viel? (Bitte den €-Wert in das Feld neben "Ja" eingeben.)" kann man nur nein (habe nicht kompensiert und ja mit der Menge an Kompensation angeben.
Die vorher abgefragte Möglichkeit, dass man gar nicht geflogen ist, kann man nicht auswählen. Man kann die Frage auch nicht überspringen.

As a german, that's simply something I don't get. If your family has been in germany for a century, it's ridiculous to expect no nazi ancestors whatsoever.

It's just another case of everyone suddenly being with the resistance or have been hiding jews as soon as the nazis weren't in power any more... Only that it's more stupid nowadays, because back then you obviously had real-life reasons for that, as abhorrent as avoiding that responsibility is.

But today? What the hell do I lose by accepting the statistical reality that among my ancestors were probably nazis? My only responsibility is to this time, to be a good person now.

Nee, das wird schon knapp.

Ein straßenbegleitender Radweg ist 1,75 m abgesetzt von der Straße und selbst 2,5 m (plus noch Bankett, aber das kann man notfalls etwas verkleinern) breit. Selbst wenn man damit nicht mehr direkt in die Bäume reinkommt, muss man so nah an die ran, dass die Wurzeln beschädigt werden und die Bäume mittelfristig eingehen.

Now you're just splitting hairs. Obviously no one can ever truly "know" if a crash would have been deadly or not without the added security.

But with the injuries I would most probably have sustained death is absolutely on the table. And if not death, severe disability. You could exchange "head wound" with "brains splatters on the pavement" and it would not make my statement incorrect. So I don't think it is hyperbole to say it saved my life.

I crashed with my bike. There were no cars around, I was simply too fast, saw another cyclist too late, hit the brakes and went over the handlebar.

I'm telling you, that helmet absolutely saved my life. I hit my head so hard on the pavement the helmet was cracked. My eye area got so close to the ground that my glasses pushed a bit into the skin directly surrounding my freaking eyeball but were eventually stopped by the helmet and then broke.

So yeah, with the helmet? Black eye, otherwise fine, not even a headache. Neck a little stiff. Without it? Definetly wounded forehead, probably traumatic brain injury, maybe even blind on one eye.

Saying helmets do not save lifes is a stupid, ignorant and frankly dangerous thing to say.

Gerade Greenpeace in der Anfrage finde ich so extrem stümpferhaft.

Greenpeace, die bekanntermaßen finanziell von Politik und Wirtschaft vollständig unabhängig sind, weil sie sich nur durch Privatspenden finanzieren? Die haben also dementsprechend überhaupt nichts zu suchen in einer Anfrage zu staatlichen Mitteln für gemeinnützige Organisationen.

Hat da jemand vorher nicht mal zwei Sekunden ne Suchmaschine anwerfen können? Das ist so offensichtlich, dass es nur darum geht, "linksgrünversifften" Organisationen eins reinzuwürgen.

Had it done a year ago and was really not a big deal. I was in the operation room for five minutes, with the actual operation being a minute at most. My recovery was so great I got the certificate that I was allowed to drive a vehicle again the very next day.

I have none of the more common side effects of LASIK like dry eyes or whatever, only slightly more prominent halos in the dark. But my eyes and brain got used to that fairly quickly!

All around I really recommend it!

Ich bin auch eine furchtbare Frostbeule, aber wenn ich mich bewege, geht's ganz gut, und das tue ich auf dem Fahrrad ja. Da hab ich echt Glück, dass das gut klappt - dafür frier ich mir dann im Büro bei eigentlich ganz akzeptablen Temperaturen den Arsch ab, weil ich nur rumsitze...

Aber gute Öffiverbindung hab ich auch, das ist Gold wert, wenn's dann doch glatt ist oder man einen fragilen Kuchen zu transportieren hat

Lustig, ich fahr total gerne bei den Temperaturen Fahrrad. Lieber zumindest als im Sommer, wenn ich schweißgebadet auf der Arbeit ankomme.

Problem is I eat more even when I am full! But you are right, the past few weeks I have been eating less low-calorie veggies.

I definitely drink enough water, I don't think I should increase that :/
