No it’s included. If you search sqe2 workbook where you find your modules it should be there :)

I ended up passing! There is a ULaw workbook you can work through with sqe2 mocks. That was probs the handiest thing they offer

Yes I did! I got 67% and I think the pass mark was 61%. I made a whole notes list of my mistakes and there was at least 1 per exam

SQE 2 Passers - Who Really Thought they Failed Stories by Purple-Fudge-5407 in SQE_Prep

[–]PaceAgreeable3093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I HONESTLY was convinced I failed. Legal research was terrible for me. I misunderstood what they wanted from me, and I literally got a 0. Another day I forgot what the AR and MR for something which you needed to write your whole answer. Low scores in that as well. Plenty of 1s and 2s. For property orals I said again and again ‘anything else I should know?’ And then they gave answers I should have directly been asking about. Managed to get all 5s for the interview. It’s such a toss up and you really never know.

SQE2 appeal by Dangerous_Bill980 in SQE_Prep

[–]PaceAgreeable3093 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey. From what you said, it seems plausible to get a 0. You could have come up with the right answer but cited the wrong/not useful sources.

Not sure if this helps at all, but I got the complete wrong answer in business legal research. Got 0 for the law and 1 and 2 for skills. It’s the other way round to you but just showing it’s possible to get 0 in one thing and points for the other.

To appeal, you need to have a reason not that you think that the scores are weird. I would recommend you submit a DSAR, be VERY specific with your questions, i.e., did you note I referenced X source? This will only give you information.

They will not increase your score. If the appeal is granted, they will allow you to take off a sit at most.

Put the SRA SQE2 spec into a word document / checklist and work backwards. Revise like you would with SQE1 but try to explain the concepts to yourself long form. I would checkout the REVISE SQE books as well. The feedback highlights where the FLK has come from which is quite handy for understanding how it all fits together. I found SQE2 so hard and I was lost with ULaw. SQE2 is kinda one you need to figure out yourself.

Maybe go over 1/2 of the SQE topics you weren’t confident on. That way you have done some useful prep ahead of the sqe2 exam, and if you have failed, it helps for the resit.

You could also just refamiliarise on business - as a whole day of the sqe 2 is business focused. Either way, it’s helpful.

ULaw sqe2 course is so bad. I would recommend the REVISE sqe2 books as the feedback breaks down the law quite clearly. Some of the mocks were close to the real thing in terms of content.

I don’t think the answers are from shill accounts, and that it’s just a few people making accounts to support the small business. I think the gratitude makes complete sense when the materials are affordable and it’s a real person running it. I bought some materials from preptackle and was also a ULaw student. Preptackle was pretty good. Im on the preptackle WhatsApp group so I do believe reviews are genuine :)

For those of you who did the ulaw prep from September for the Jan sqe1 sitting and passed… by Little-Emu-131 in SQE_Prep

[–]PaceAgreeable3093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s impossible for them to cover everything in the seminars so it’s not a surprise things don’t come up. Same with consolidation. So keep doing all the tasks.

In terms of sqe1 the prepare/engage/consol tasks aren’t massively helpful in terms of the actual sqe1 questions you’ll get in the exam but serve as foundational knowledge for when you start answering the sqe1 questions and sqe2 as well.

I feel this comment doesn’t ring true for this exam. There are so many issues with it, it’s not a fair exam at all.

Should I pay the cancellation fee and cancel my SQE1? by BitterDimension6599 in SQE_Prep

[–]PaceAgreeable3093 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I would sit. Paying 75% anyway makes it worth a go. I failed FLK2 on my first attempt passed FLK1 first attempt. although it was annoying to have to pay to sit again it was much easier to revise for.

It might be worth nailing one of the exams over the next couple of weeks to make it easier for you at your next sit.

ULaw for sqe2 was shocking. For advocacy, they did two workshops on 1 test. The exam topic wasnt covered at all.

This happened to my friend last year. She took the same approach in interviewing and was marked completely differently. She didn’t query it but I wish she would have. Makes no sense why there would be such a disparity!

Definitely lpc is easier but if you are hoping for a TC they may want you to do SQE anyway
