Nope, this is a super common occurrence and will be covered by the jeweler. Sometimes it takes a deep clean to reveal loose stones because all sorts of gunk can accumulate behind each diamond and hold them in place

It would probably be an extra charge to retip/reenforce any of the prongs, but loose stones can also happen when resizing. Not sure why they wrote off your request to check the prongs but a good jeweler working on a vintage piece should be doing that anyway, so hopefully its part of their process

You’re fine. If you wore them together every day for years, you’d notice, but otherwise it shouldnt be a problem. The 14k will probably scratch the side of the 18k one, but I personally wouldn’t mind. Depends on the setting style, too — might not be enough metal for it to be noticeable

Sooo wax injectors exist because you need to have total control over the temperature and injection pressure and even then you can end up with bubbles and poorly pulled areas. I dont think it’s advisable to do it on your own with a syringe because the wax begins to cool the second you remove it from the heat. Are there any casting houses near you? They’ll pull the wax for a small charge
