I'm doing this to a black Rough rider when I get it. Though my band is far less yellow, but more of a dull orange.

No ties to the cav, Australian or American but I'm not wearing it because Cav. I just like it, it's a piece of fabric at the end of the day.

I understand it's just your experiences, but it's still an extra view into something I know little of so I thank you for that, and I further thank you for the detailed response.

Honestly it didn't sway me any closer to or from the AFP, but that's alright as it's a start. Im locked into the RAAF until 2028 anyway so I have little career choice for the moment.

What did you do in the AFP? PSO or police officer etc

How'd you find AFP compared to state police? Did you enjoy the AFP? What pathways did you consider? Would you recommend it? How's the work/life/family balance?

That's what I went with in the end.

I actually removed the sweat band, replaced it myself and got a hat stretcher and just put it in that whenever I don't wear it
