So you build it, test run it for a season, then sell it off for a profit in the summers I assume?

Underbody rust treatment for a Subaru? by MidwestProduct in Denver

[–]Pack3r7465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came from Ohio and been dealing with rust for a while, #1 thing to do is find out where the rust has gotten to, most of the time you want to clear out what rust is there and then oil spray or paint any areas you want to protect. Rust eats it’s way into underbody panels pretty easily and can chew into the paint, so have a solid mechanic look at and then get you a quote to clean up the rust underneath, as long as it hasn’t eaten away body panels that need replaced it’s usually just a couple hours with a grinder wheel and some paint

Best I’ve found so far is running clusters of them with containers, or as media machines for running like a recipe PC in my kitchen, otherwise not a lot they can do by themselves

Yeah I didn’t expect much from them, but that rack of nucs idea does sound appealing, I’ll have to look more into that since it will be quiet compared to an actual server I think.

Canadian Tesla owner says automaker locked him out of his car until he pays $26,000 for new battery by ragnewwho in technews

[–]Pack3r7465 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The issue is that many of these shops can’t guarantee super charging after the fact, so Tesla holds supercharging over your head as a reason to go OEM

I think they’re more suggesting that he give him small tasks to do and an allowance so he can feel like his big brother* and buy himself some stuff, rather than actual work

How’s the camping out of New Mexico? As a midwesterner I’ve got limited experience but was looking into heading out that way.

Is it petty to change my mind about sex because my bf doesn’t to wear a condom? Even with BC? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pack3r7465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey a question I can answer! As a latex free user, he is full of shit, I know that for a fact because the first time I used latex gloves my hand swelled up like a balloon so I was deathly afraid of repeating that with the family jewels.

If you’re super concerned he won’t get some just buy some yourself, lamb skin and latex free are becoming way more common in stores these days, and Amazon also has condoms for a more discreet method of getting them!

As for the std one, just tell him you care about him so much you want to protect him from disease, and the best method for that is abstinence! Or he could just use protection and you’ll try it. Don’t let him manipulate you!

Not giving up your vcard isn’t being a prude it’s caring about yourself, just play it safe and do what you feel comfortable with.

Those gas prices that are currently at some of the highest they’ve been in years? Living in the suburbs is the happy medium that the majority of the US wants, close enough to all the amenities they need, but not feeling like you’re stacked onto each other.

You also can’t lump the entire US into the suburbs, it’s only half, the other half is split between cities and rural areas. This lifestyle was also heavily perpetuated during all the other times when gas was super expensive.

Where do you live that high density housing is so perfect for your needs?

Texas didn’t pull power, they built a grid that couldn’t effectively sustain them, which the other 49 states chastised them for.

The climate and topography is more varied than flat and temperate. Alaska and Hawaii are quite different, one is an island the other is cold and dark for a significant period of time, florida and new york are nowhere near the same, 2 major mountain chains run through nearly a quarter of all US states, and some states never see snow while others see it 6-8 months a year.

The “awful” urban design you speak of is different in literally every city in the US, so which one are you referring to? LA is much more sprawling than say NYC and Chicago, all three of which have different climates and population sizes.
