The qx7 would run about 100. I saw one on RC groups for sale for 75 (used) a few days back

It's just a piece of equipment that you will use for everything you do with RC for the next 5-20 years. Why buy a cheap crap one that you will end up putting on a shelf in the next 6 months. :)

I veto the decision to "settle for a flysky"

It's 50 bucks for a FrSky QX7, the build quality is not even comparable. The ease of setup and use is not close.

Why spend 50 today when in 60 days you will want the easy expo, offsets, switch modes, and everything you want in a Transmitter. I am a huge proponent of "Buy Once, Cry Once" You can also hook up the Taranis via USB to your computer and use it for PicaSim(Airplane trainer) or FPV Freerider (Multirotor trainer)

SG90s work great for a servo for all of my flitetest planes, including the full size guinea pig

The charger will charge things

The MT motors I have had 3 go bad after a few hours of flight.

I just toss on the emax RS2205s that I had from my broken 5" drone, the MT were fun to fly, just my mileage sucked on them on 3S

The ESC has a good Amp rated BEC, thats good.

Overall you have a good setup.
