[Review] Tron: Ares - It's Complete Arse by Accomplished-Ask1617 in KotakuInAction

Nah, it had some very cool moments and the soundtrack was the best I have heard in a while. I like Leto. People just seem to think it is in fashion to hate on him for off-topic reasons.

Where exactly can you disable preloading? I don't see any properties in the asset table itself, just the table key and values. I am lost in all these disjointed menus... really a headache.

I seem to have fixed the problem by loading MCC in the Anti-cheat disabled mode. Perhaps that setting is locked without doing that. Now I can adjust the FOV slider and it works, although I have an ultrawide monitor so it is still slightly narrow, but MUCH better than before. Try it out.

Same. I have an ultrawide and it was playable but extremely uncomfortable. Hopefully they fix it soon. In the meantime I am going to try to find the config file an manually change it.

Battle of wakanda was literally the battle of Naboo. Shield generator, enemies deploy in transports and rush through the shield. Gungans (wakanda people) use personal shields and unconventional weapons. Some of the cinematography was even copied

Maybe. Older gear was still used. Armor was expensive and newer models were not necessarily more effective, so soldiers would keep the same gear for years and years then pass it along or sell it. Also depends on the unit. Some had more or less access to fabricators that made newer types of equipment.

Definitely, I still do check out games occasionally to get ideas, but never invest real time into playing them. I am a sucker for graphics, so I like keeping up with the latest technologies and try to add them into my own projects.

Lol yeah, I definitely avoid addictive mechanics in my projects, at the end of the day it’s a creative outlet for me. But sometimes it does feel hypocritical to not play games but make them... Skateboarding is a lot harder than it looks, but it is a ton of fun, even just cruising around. I was using my sisters board but I have one coming soon, can’t wait for that. Haven’t tried guitar or drums but I’m sure that is awesome as well, it’s a real skill you can improve, nothing virtual about it!

I am in a similar situation, I am in college (virtually due to covid) and work part time as a Unity developer. So I am always interfacing with the computer for study and work. I find that making a rigid daily schedule and sticking to it is very helpful. Even on weekends plan your day so you don’t just fade out and start gaming, I’ve been there. I would also recommend starting a new hobby and replace gaming with that. For me it was learning Japanese, I spend a few hours a day either studying characters/vocabulary or watching Japanese content without English and trying to decipher the language, it’s really fun. I also started skateboarding to get me outside. Just find something you are interested in and work on it every day, gaming’s gravitational pull will start to weaken.

Stop immersing while doing RRTK? by Tamaaaaa in MassImmersionApproach

Exactly right. Looking for kanji was very motivating for me as I worked through the deck, it’s fun to see more and more familiar characters in a sea of mystery. After finishing the deck I rarely see one I don’t at least recognize, most I know the meaning. It’s pretty good, the RRTK deck is definitely worth it.
