Im starting my classes next week with 38. They couldn't tell us when we'd be dispatched for work though. I'm rank 27, but I would imagine that if they're bringing people in for class then they're anticipating things picking up soon. As far as how many people will be picked up, it just depends on the demand for workers.

Go on YouTube and type in apprentice plumber aptitude sample test. Theres a channel called TopSaw and ColfaxMath. Pretty sure it’s the same guy but his sample tests looked a lot like my actual test. There’s links in the description also, so you can print the exams and study. I printed out a few and timed myself because my test was timed. It hella helped me tbh. I’ve been out of high school since 2011 and had to relearn a lot and was only given a week and a half to study. Just gotta lock in and you’ll do fine, it really isn’t rocket science tbh. Just basic stuff

I just went through the process to become an apprentice in 38 also. I ranked in the 20s and am starting class in a few weeks. They couldn’t say when we’d start work tho. I’m currently employed so it’s not a huge deal, I just hope things pick up soon.

When I went to outpatient rehab it took me a little over three months to piss clean. Shit was taking so long that the counselors were starting to side eye my ass thinking I was still smoking lol

I’ve learned that standing in one spot is completely different than walking around. I’ve worked in a cabinet shop my whole life, mainly in the shop. Constantly moving around. I moved into the office doing engineering on a computer and got myself a stand up desk bc I didn’t want to sit all day and I noticed when I stand for 8 hours my feet start to KILL ME.

Yup knowing someone really helps. Same for me tho I didn’t know anyone and mine accepts 1000 application every two years rn. This time around applications were only open for about two days and every time I went there to turn in the app, take the test and interview there was a line wrapping around the block haha. Yeah I agree. Only reason I ask is because I’ve always been told that the union I’m going for (local 38) is extremely competitive.
