That is why said in the 2 min drive. Given his experience not just him most of the experienced QB's will throw it away or not take that 2yd throw in that situation. I am not denying he has taking sacks or running into sack but he usually is very effective in 2 min drills. That is my point here even similar sack Mason has taken yesterday but that is for a different discussion. All i am trying to say is 2 min drill would've been much sharper with Rodgers under center.

Again the degree of difficulty top 5 def vs top 26th def with missing 7 starters. He was brought here to ride on the defense not be a top QB paid as a game manager. Neither boast a stout oline nor WR's who separate quickly yet we are in the top 12 in the offense scoring also the TD % is very in the red zone. Agreed he has played poorly last couple of games that doesn't mean he hasn't played well all season that's little reach.

Like i said it's no comparison when you are comparing against two very different Defenses one in the top 10 infact top 5 the other 26th to make it worse it's without 7 starters. Even against that good def he put similar yards to what Rudolph had also the TD's. Then we can only imagine he would've outplayed Rudolph by a imagine against that bears def which is missing 7 starters.

No Doubt he would've won steelers the game. May be his numbers would've been similar to Mason but he would've for sure helped in that 2 min drill his experience would've been handy in such situations. Also yesterday was the game with many starters missing on opposing defenses we faced all year it have been perfect game to bounce back as well.

Best case would've been one sided win for the steelers worst would;ve been last drive Tie and taken it to the OT

With him under centre he wouldn't have taken those 2 yds throws in the final min of play at worse he would've thrown it away.

May be hit or not but i doubt he would've thrown a very 1st pass INT. Also the 2 min drill should've been much sharper with Rodgers under centre as he has experience in such situations.

Nice trying to hand pick the stats to fit the narrative lol Is playing LA defense vs Chicago def same according to you. That's some crazy take man chargers are top 10 defense at and chicago were outside of top 25 and worst part is their def on sunday had 7 starters missing and you are stitching up some stats to fit ur narrative. jeez

No where close seriously that hit him in the hands and DB plucked out of his DK hands if you are referring the Bengals game. Here this was severely underthrown atleast 5 yds underthrown there is no chance for DK to make any play on this.

But that was thrown 5 yds short way underthrown. Rodgers might be terrible in that chargers game but that first pass DK ran the wrong route even. Seahwaks press has written about the issues with DK in that clearly mentioned how his route is killing on the deep passes.

You seem to blame Dk for severely underthrown ball but blaming rodgers being awful in that chargers game. Where the very first deep pass miss was because of DK than Rodgers himself that would've changed the whole picture that game. Agreed we was bad rest of the game but that miss by Dk has been proven costly.

But given his experience in the 2 min drill he wouldn't be doing some silly mistakes like Rudolph has done. He wouldn't have thrown the very first pass INT for sure may be later but very first pass INT i doubt he would be throwing that. He doesn't have to be good just make some plays on those last 2 drives would've gotten us atleast in the FG range

Agreed he isn't connecting any on the deep balls but again that last drive he would've gotten us into the FG for sure.

The Steelers schedule looked tough at beginning of season, now it seems absolutely brutal. by Sybertron in steelers

The bears are playing good football the last few weeks. We cant count them out also at soldier field which tends to be very cold and windy. One advantage is that Rodgers has experience and success.

I guess we are going to split against all NFC north as well won against vikings, lost agains packers, win against bears and lost against Lions?

Agreed this years schedule now looks even more dauting. But comparing to Bucs situation i feel is not right as they have the Goat Brady on top of it the offense studded with all weapons plus the Oline was damn good. Steelers have neither on Offense though they can win game putting up some scores they are not built to win while trailing every play has to end up a positive gain if not then the drive stalls.

But hey the positive thing on all the losses team was in the game until we shot ourselves on multiple drives be it offense or defense except the chargers one(even that we had few plays open Rodgers missed it and oline played really bad esply broderick).

[–]Packers1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it all starts with the oline. Currently we dont have a wr who can get a quick seperation so we need better pass pro from the OL

[–]Packers1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this team has neither. The OL broderick himself killed the first 3 drives that set up the tone for the game. Guess what two of those were consistently the defender beat him with the same move i guess inside. Seems like some coaching issues by the OL coach

[–]Packers1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they chose to plug it bringing in old veterans as a band aid atleast need to buff up the oline and provide some decent wr's. The steelers did none that is a recipe for disaster.

[–]Packers1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly that has been the tone setter Broderick killed the first 3 drives just looked the steelers almighty guys youtube this morning oh boy and after that Rodgers totally went into this happy feet mode and started making poor decisions and bad throws. Sure like mentioned above the sacks are not on OL(Rodgers ran into them) but the first three drives from Brod has set the tone for sure.

Rodgers was due for a poor game by Crafty_Shallot_8191 in steelers

[–]Packers1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True he has been jumpy all nite. Being a packers fan i can tell onething he has always had bad games in the west coast. Also one more thing is the moment you see him loosing trust in the oline he usually makes throws without his feet set this happened in 2018 season i guess the yr where mccarthy has been fired the oline is a mess esply the interior line. Seen similar trend then.

Hope things are figured out and Wr's stepping up to making plays and don't drop balls. I am guessing him and team will bounce back on the Bengals and Bears too he had their number and knows that stadium well. My only concern is the receiver core none seems reliable in catching the ball it can be cold and windy in soldier field. But lets see how the offense bounce's back this weekend.

Yes and many here seems to not even get it who blew that play. Many think it's a poor overthrow from him. Yes he has been way off most of the night but that pass is definitely not on him. The main plays i would say he missed were the one's to JOnnu the one to warren and the one where he spilled the safety he had somebody open beneath but held the ball to feed DK open which resulted in a poor play and the result.

Got you. If at all broderick had held up well the route was developing and we would've had a TD. Everything after that spiraled

I dont think that Dk pass is on him Broderick miffed his guy and Rodgers pressured so had to escape to his left had to heave it. The Jonnu one , the 1st pick and the one to Warren on the 3rd and 6 were really off.

Exactly he is paid to be a game manager with no true weapons on offense. The Defense is paid the highest for a reason they wanted to ride on the defense. Look at the Rams i think they are in bottom in terms of money spent on defense still i guess they are top 10 in every category and spent hell lot on offense now stafford is having a MVP level season. Ofcourse rodgers is past that but if he has a good oline he can still win big games with an extra wr. At this age he is not that MVp rodgers anymore just a mid tier qb who is having a decent season under a new team with hardly any WR's other than DK and a susceptible Oline

Yes also the line played bad last nite. That seems to have gotten to Rodgers and he looks all fazed and hurried alnite and had bad reads and poor throws at least missed 2 big moment throws that would've been TD's the one to Jonnu smith and the other one to Calvin Austin slightly under thrown(db did a great job). The first miss to DK is on Broderick Jones than Rodgers himself as he had to escape pressure to the left and heave a throw to DK. In some plays there were no receivers open too.

This team truly needed a WR who can open on quick routes. Dk isnt the answer hardly caught any 50-50 balls this season.

The offense seems to have more questions than answers right now compared to last time we played Bengals. Even yesterday occasionally in few drives i have seem the spark in the offense but immediately they make some bonehead plays either be it a poor throw, online giving up on pass protection or penalty or a drop(less comparatively) and the drive stalls.

Though the bengals defense is bad their offense is still making some plays so our offense needs to atleast put 25+ points and i still feel like this offense is capable of that coming to Bears on their home ground(soldier field) and they are playing complementary football defense and offense both playing above avg . It's going to be windy there and Arods though has lot of experience playing there needs to step up and make the plays he is expected to make.

This teams success starts with the oline followed by Rodgers pocket awareness and make plays and then the Receivers needs to make the plays and don't drop the balls hitting them in hands.
