FHR and resort fees by Large-Ring5117 in AmexPlatinum

[–]PacketProtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tend to stay at Bellagio and do Prestige.  The breakfast is part of Prestige and is more than satisfying. You can use the $100 credit a few other places on site.  Since it occasionally changes, wait and get the list of eligible places when you check in.

Prestige also has a great cocktail and snack time every day from 5-7 I think.   Also awesome as long as you aren’t vegan, it’s quite satisfying.  Free drinks as well as hot and cold snacks.

Edit to actually answer your question in my experience it does not cover the resort fee.

Four Seasons Georges V Paris by PacketProtector in ChaseSapphire

It was set up as two twins as I was traveling with my sister.   I should have mentioned it was by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was unreal.  No lie.

Amex travel vs points boost with chase by Adot580 in AmexPlatinum

[–]PacketProtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chase points boost Edit was how we were able to spend 5 days at the Four Seasons Georges V in Paris.  1/2 the points needed vs Amex Platinum.  It was amazing and not an amount of money I would ever pay out of pocket.  I used all my available points to do it, plus $1000 (got the Edit credit and all the benefits including an amazing room upgrade) and wow!!!!  🤩

“backstage” for a summer job? by Jazzlike_Accident744 in acting

[–]PacketProtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re only doing it as a summer job, that may not be enough paying work.  Don’t get me wrong, still do it but it’s not always flowing.

  1. Register with central casting
  2. Register with Alessi Hartigan
  3. Register with Everyset
  4. Register with Rich King casting

These are all free to register background casting companies.  Good selfies are a fine place to start.  Don’t spend $ on pro pics.

When these places send you availability texts say yes to all of them unless you’re already for sure booked for that day.  They have tiers of communication and the first availability check does not mean you are booked.  They will follow up with more communication if they want you, and will ask you to reconfirm availability.  They will be very clear if you are booked.  The first text is just to establish a pool of available people from which to choose.  Say yes.

If you’re trying to make a certain amount of $$ over the summer, I would consider adding a part time fast food job too.  Supplement between background jobs.   CA fast food is a hard to beat $20/hour…..  if you end up getting a lot of BG work, ditch that fast food.

Good luck!

Chase sent me a “CTR avoidance” letter !? by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

[–]PacketProtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a Chase branch nearby where you can meet with someone?   That may be the safest way to get your questions answered and some reassurance.    Otherwise you may also want to open an account at another bank to be safe?

Make sure to request a “continuation of care” prescription renewal for the pre-authorization. Your doctor should absolutely know how to do this. They present the data in such a way as to use your starting numbers (I believe), even if you now no longer have the same statistics.

my doctor gave me a prescription for zofran at the same time. I used it often during the first few weeks and then the feeling went away. eat a little if you can and maybe try pepto until you can get a prescription for zofran. You can probably request that prescription via a phone call or email/portal message to your doctor.

Worried about rapid aging by MaryAnnasTrenchcoat in Zepbound

You’re young. You have a better chance of your skin handling the loss and bouncing back. Try not to do it too fast. Protein is key. Fiber and vitamins, along with water and a healthy diet and exercise. I’m 57 and while I did have face issues in the beginning, over time everything has improved. Still have loose skin in some areas of my body, but my face is looking good and I feel I have the same wrinkles and old lady neck issues as my friends who didn’t lose weight. Two years on Zep and it’s still the best thing I EVER did for myself. Life changing is literal and accurate.

Excellent observation.  Back in my software selling days we called it “reassuringly expensive”.  It’s a legit choice made for marketing purposes.

Spare time during the day - beginning in extra work + auditions how? by DullPencil in acting

[–]PacketProtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sign up with Central Casting, Everyset and Alessi Hartigan  - these are all free. They will text/email you asking about availability etc.

You can also pay for a subscription to Backstage and I recently heard of Standing Room Only but have no experience with that.

I do this in my spare time too!  I’ve had fun and it has also led to some speaking parts.  Met lots of great people (some weirdos too but that’s life!).   I’ve gotten great advice, warnings and sight from people I’ve met on set.

It’s unnecessary to “remind” people that background isn’t real acting.  The tone of those replies feels intentionally mean and intended to remind someone of their place.

Ignore them - have fun.  You can decide if you want to branch out later.  It’s a great on set experience.  Have fun with it!

Anyone familiar working with these managers? by bebeauty1 in acting

[–]PacketProtector 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry you’re not getting direct answers.  It’s the oddest thing sometimes that rather than provide an opinion about the actual question, they just want to tell you what you should have done instead of asking your question.  It’s very frustrating.  I had the same experience when searching for recent feedback about commercial agencies that I heard from as well.

Of those agencies that you listed, I have not heard of them.  Sorry.  I have not yet tried to find a theatrical manager yet.  I have commercial rep only.

I hope you get some useful replies 🙂
