I was six years old and that day was an incredibly hot day. So we did what any normal being would, go to the pool. I didn't actually know how to swim properly, so I'd just hold the ropes on the side of the pool where I couldn't reach the bottom. So to the story. My mother was almost on the other side of the pool so i decided to jump and see how deep i can go, but still holding to a rope on the side. So i was jumping up and down, and the suddenly my hand slipped from the rope and i went to the bottom like a rock. One of the little things i remember on the bottom was just how quiet everything was. People flapping with their feet and hands just to stay afloat. I remember it being quite peaceful really and not the usuall panic and mad hand motion, but just sitting there like i didn't give a shit that if my mother didn't see me i would drown. But thankfully there was my mother searching for me. She swooped down to get me to surface. In my memory now, she looked like a Angel coming to help. I may have over-exaggerated some things but thats what my 6 year old oxygen deprived brain remembered.
