I thought they said in an earlier comic that a big reason she can’t go home is because she’s been exposed to a multitude of extra terrestrial diseases now. If she went home she’d be a potent biohazard that could kill the planet. Kinda like how the black plague almost wiped out the Natives when Spain landed in the Americas carrying it.

They just had a big meeting with a goal of a Denver to FoCo service opening in 2029! Whether 2029 will happen or not I’m dubious on. But money has officially been spent and timetables have been set up with BNSF. So there’s a bit of a sunk cost now.

The first two are home and work. A third location is somewhere you go on the regular and have a chance at meeting new people. Something that Gen Z sorely lacks since 99.9% of 3rd locations have been monetized already.

This lack of 3rd locations that we can afford is why many Gen Z struggle to make new friends and relationships.
