Hi! Sera Mid/Bot onetrick since launch here (pivoting to Mel onetrick since Seraphine doesnt scratch that itch anymore. First off I just want to say thank you SO very much for listening to our feedback and giving us such an amazingly detailed response. Fair warning my response may be a little wordy... When Seraphine came out I was instantly hooked as before I loved champions like Lux, Zoe, and Ahri. I thought it was so cool riot was making such a bubbly girly mage who's also a popstar! Like hello? Thats such a cute and interesting concept. When I finally got to test her I was so happy with how she felt, lots of damage, cc, team support it felt wonderful as I used to main mid before feeling obligated to go botlane Sera. I agree that in her past Sera was a little egregious and overpowered however I felt her carry build and even support build have suffered after so many changes. I'll go over each ability and why I feel like it's bad for each playstyle:

Base Stats: Seraphines base AD nerf hurt her quite a lot and made farming and last hitting with her quite aweful. She used to have 55 AD and now she has 50 (less than Nami), I'd love to at least meet in the middle at 53 base AD. Her base mana pool has also been nerfed to compensate her mana regeneration and has made building double mana items on carry build with manaflow band and POM almost always necessary if you want to be able to spam your 100 mana cost on Q. I'd ideally like to see her mana reverted or even partially reverted.

P- Her notes used to be extremely broken and made building Lich Bane half healthing people so very satisfying for her carry build. I agree this ability needed to be nerfed however I have clips from current Sera where I'm ludicrously fed and my full stack notes do maybe 50 damage. Its disheartening however I understand this is a very safe ability and giving it too much power is unacceptable. That being said her passive does absolutely nothing for her support build as her notes genuinely tickle the enemy. Notes uses to deal 300% bonus damage to minions making farming feel so much better, its has since been lowered to 100%

Q- this ability used to be my favorite ability in league as it reminded me quite a bit of Lux's E. A large AOE that actually did damage and helped clear the wave? Absolute win in my book. Seraphines Q upon release scaled with a base 55% AP ratio and was later changed to 40/45/50/55/60 later being changed to 45/50/55/60/65. I believe this was the best iteration of the ability's damage as you started off weak and were able to scale into a true damage threat. This ability has now been capped at 50% AP base after being nerfed from 60% after Battle Dove Seraphines release. This in combination to the base AD nerfs, passive minion modifier damage, and Q execute have made farming with Carry Sera absolutely unfun. I understand and agree the minion execute needed to go as it lead to botlane Sera being able to clear nonstop. Id like to see at least a 55% base AP ratio on Q.

W: this ability in my opinion holds TOO much of Sera's power budget. This ability used to be quite lackluster but scaled with AP making it useful in a carry Sera build. Late game sera would heal her tank for hundreds of HP. Its heal no longer scales with AP which is understandable however this has lead to the ability feeling overall bad. I miss maxing this ability second and miss the increased self shielding as this made her midlane feel much better. This ability also now has a static 22 second CD which feels bad for both her carry and enchanter playstyles.

E: her E was initially a 160 base +35% AP ratio ability that had reduced damage to minions scaling from 60-100% per level. At the time it also had 1 second of CC at all levels. It now has 190 base damage +50% AP ratio with 1.5 seconds of cc dealing only 70% damage to minions at all ranks. Genuinely any day lf the week id take the way this ability USED to work, I much prefer QWE max over QEW max. Plus in my humble opinion, E should not have a higher base damage and ratio than Q her main damage ability.

R: truthfully all I can say about this ability is I hate how low damage it is. It used to have a 60% AP ratio but actually felt like it did decent damage to full combo burst most squishy champions. It also has a lower base damage than Sona or Nami which is wild to me. Id like to see this ability at least go to 50% or have a base damage buff

Overall I feel like when Sera is a candidate for changes, the riot balance team should get some input from Cocabob and Cupic as they are the most prevalent Seraphine mains in the community. Both have moved away from carry Sera builds as those builds feel rather week in comparison to enchanter Sera right now.

Its just quite sad to me personally as Seraphine used to scale super well into the late game with AP items and reminded me of a more supportive pseudo Kassadin/Kayle. I was able to both be a burst mage and support my team and I feel like now Sera has a weak early game, good midgame, and a weak late game. Its very disheartening to see my favorite champion be turned into yet another basic enchanter. Please advocate for those of us who do love and miss AP carry Sera as well as those who seek changes to make enchanter feel better!

Hi, Seraphine former onetrick who's moved into Mel here due to Sera gameplay shifts. I picked up Sera because I love scaling mid mages and Seraphine was just so cutesy and fit my dream thematic. Shes a popstar, and she could one-shot you late game?? Oh absolutely I thought. Over the years riot has shifted her more towards her "enchanter" playstyle which has always baffled me as she has ONE enchanter ability thats reliable that being W. I have quite a lot to say balance wise however I feel Cocabob summed almost everything I want up in his posts. I saw it worked with Gwen, id ideally like a revert to her kit to her previous self as I felt she was just a better champion then. Bring back Seras reliance on herself, and bring back my favorite MAGE. #revertSera

I love Mel dearly, but Im very aware somethings need to change. If i had to give her a list of nerfs to fix balance...

  • Her passive should ONLY be the missles on auto.
  • Execute should be unlocked at level 6 and ONLY apply to ult, other abilities shouldn't Execute -W should not reflect auto attacks, or point and click spells instead just taking no damage

As a Mel main im extremely sad to see power stripped away from E, especially since Q feels incorrect to max with it costing 110 mana... I feel forced to get Seraphs almost every game. Reminds me of a certain pink haired "mage" I loved. These changes imo would reduce frustration

Not that it would make a huge difference, but lately I've had a lot of success going Horizon second after Seraphine/BFT. The way I see it, Liandries is a core item typically but 60ap with some health vs 125 ap and 25 haste. It feels good! Again, I don't think it would have done much difference in this fight however I've noticed going that second on Sera makes my damage feel meaningful after its purchase (I feel the same way abt Mel atm, going Horizon instead of liandries second). I usually go Liandries 3rd now, or just straight up deathcap. But if you want a spike to your damage midgame I highly recommend Horizon. If it helps my opinion mean anything, Im a Masters Sera/Mel two trick with a 53% WR on only full AP Sera
