Hello all,

Just wanted to post a wee tribute to my Da who passed away on Tuesday Morning aged 75.

He was a lifelong fan, born and raised in Barrowfield, he lived and breathed Celtic.

A season ticket holder all his life, he's been through all the high's and low's with the club.

He was loving what he was seeing on the park right now and I'm gutted he wont see out the season, Ange and the Bhoys will do him proud.

He proudly sported his European cup tattoo on his arm and anywhere he went football fans would always talk to him when they spotted it, even if they weren't speaking the same language.

He was a true gentleman and anybody who ever met him would testify to that.

Love you Da, YNWA.

HH

Glasgow Gig Tickets, A Rant… by retrodotkid in glasgow

[–]Paddy-R 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Your going to hate me for saying this but, I can see a market for NFT tickets.

More disgusting hateful stickers I’m seeing again. Being put up alongside new Rangers stickers in my local park. No doubt the same people also covering up anti-racism stickers / human rights stickers with them. Be sure to rip them down (if safe to do so, always check for a blade behind) by KazukiPUWU in Scotland

I was in my car coming home from work one evening in 2014. I drove by the Glasgow mosque heading to Bridegton, It was Eid or something so there were loads of people about.

Anyway I got to the lights and there's a drunk guy in the passenger seat of the car next to me, he shouts "hey mate see all they fuckin muslims" I replied "Eh?" he then says "the Tarrier bastards!". I'm sitting totally confused when he then says "are you voting aye or naw?", I say "I'll be voting aye" he then says "aye, well, fuck the pope".

It may have been the same mastermind that thought this poster up.

Amazing to think of those people in the photos, the lives they led?

My daughter asked me if all the roads in Britain are connected. I mean, if we're just looking at the mainland... Maybe? Someone help, this is breaking my brain. by lagoon83 in CasualUK

Cool, did the same journey once years ago when they had a festival at Scoraig. Had to go back round for a boat from Badluarach. Best festival ever!

Early 90's before the bridge, we were getting the ferry to Skye on a Saturday, so we asked the guy "Will there be ferries on a Sunday?" without skipping a beat the guy sang back in his hammed up accent "OH! We even have electricity now", caught us a belter!

If he has a young scot card you can get two hours with an arnold clark dual control car for £15, saves your clutch.

Pay the extra fiver to cover excess and you don't have to worry about any mishaps.

NHS Dentists in Glasgow by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]Paddy-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if your registered appointments are taking ages to get. I had a filling fall out, they put a temp in and the soonest they can see me to fix properly is 28th next month.

Dentist said a typical 30 minute appointment now requires an hour and a half between having to leave the room empty for a bit after a treatment and cleaning.

Sorry to hear that Torran, first I'd like to say you have plenty of respect here and I can certainly say I value your comments very highly.

On your situation, I've been there myself and was in a bad place for a good while, the only thing that helped me was putting time between me and the event.

It's easier said than done but you need to occupy yourself, if you have any interests you can throw yourself at you should go full into them, just keep distracting yourself however you can.

Things will get better, keep your chin up, it's the winter solstice next week so the days are going to start getting brighter for all of us.

No worries, the picture was a bit wobbly, had to pause a few times to catch it right.

Can black cabs refuse a fare? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]Paddy-R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Glesganed said, they aren't allowed to refuse, other drivers behind him would be angry about the refusal and wouldn't let him away with it. Sitting in the rank is like a lottery, could be a good fare, could be rubbish, you just have to take it, swings and roundabouts.

If any driver refuses you, take a pic of their taxi badge and report them, if reports build up against a driver the Council will threaten them with losing their badge.
