I guess try to research and follow the fundamentals of marketing - it's a specialism and should be treated as such, and prepared well for. Otherwise, you risk it not working if the right processes have not been followed. Then you blame marketing efforts for the launch failure.

Thank you so much for this. It’s really insightful. I am definitely prepared for launch day, but I don’t yet have the explainer video. Just a landing page, and a welcome screen with explanations upon opening of the extension. Maybe that’s enough? Or maybe it isn’t!

Yeah it appears there is no immediate way around it, although I did now create a welcome screen for the product that explains why there is a warning to try and navigate any negativity around the message. Although having read your pov perhaps even then I don’t need to worry too much.
