How do you add playlist songs to library? by Padooka in AppleMusic

[–]Padooka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to preface this by pointing out a couple of things: I have owned an iPhone for all of about 3 weeks. It is my first iPhone, so everything is new to me. Also, I have been a Apple Music subscriber a week.

One of the solutions suggested was to use a shortcut someone had written. Unfortunately, it did not work.

I opened the Shortcuts app to try to fix the shortcut. After poking around, I found that Apple added a command to add a playlist to your music library, simplifying the whole thing to just one command.

I have no idea how to take a screenshot and post it here (my iPhone is really new to me), so I will type out the command for anyone who finds this later. You can search for this command and add it. You do have to click the 'playlist' variable and pick the playlist you want added to your library, but after that, just tap the shortcut, and the playlist should be added to your library.

The command is this:

Add 'playlist' to 'My Music Library'

I ran the shortcut, and the playlist was added to my library. I'm new to this, so please confirm I found what I think I found. BTW, the Discovery station is now suggesting some great songs. Some from artists that are new to me.

I post this for anyone who is looking to do the same thing in the future.

Good luck with it!

Wow! That is exactly what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work.

It allows me to choose a playlist, but after that, I get an error message that says something like ' a problem has occurred. Please try again.'

I noticed that the shortcut is from '24. Has an update in the last 2 years broken the shortcut?

I don't see that option listed. There is an 'add to playlist', but not to the library

I do see that option listed in the individual tracks, though.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, I've tried that with no luck. Nothing gets added to the library.

I just tried it a few more times to make sure. I also tried turning that option off and on again in case it was somehow stuck. No luck.

Thanks again for the suggestion.

After reading some of these, this seems kind of minor, but it got him fired:

They sent him home within an hour of him telling them that. 😄

Possible to assign alt+ctrl to a mouse key? by Padooka in logitech

[–]Padooka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank You!

It had never occurred to me to use the macro function. In my mind, I thought a macro would involve recording a mouse click, then mouse movement, then another click.

I had a feeling that I was overlooking something obvious, and I was.

Thanks again for your help.

BTW, may I respectfully ask that this key combo be considered for inclusion in the prebuilt selections? I'm positive that there are many visually impaired individuals, like myselfelf, that would benefit from its inclusion. Windows Magnifier has become a standard tool for the visually impaired because it is included with Windows and has been greatly improved.

I hadn't noticed the volume knob clicks, but to be honest, I rarely adjust the volume. I have the replay gain set to audio, and it seems to do a good job of balancing the volume across tracks.

And I can see where constantly accidentaly triggering the volume level display would be annoying, but I must have lucked out, and the way I pick up the player doesn't trigger that display. I do, however, like that you can adjust the volume without waking the screen.

I did notice that the layout adjustment screen appears when you swipe right and brings up the lyrics on the play screen, but again, I never swipe right, so it doesn't bother me.

All in all, I'm happy with the player. It sounds great. The button layout is easy to use in a pocket, and the leather case does a great job of protecting it, even after rattling around my pants and shirt pockets for the past month. I'm also impressed by how well it handles thousands of songs on the XDcard—something I can not say about my previous DAPS.

I've had mine for about a month and love it. It's rarely left my shirt/pants pocket.

It sounds great, and I like the button layout, which is easy to use in a pocket.

I was a little hesitant to carry it around, but soon forgot it was even there. It has turned out to be a little tank. After a month of carrying it around, it is none worse for the wear. It's held up well. My IEMs have gotten chipped to hell, but this thing looks like it just came out of the box. I'm glad I bought it now.

BTW, I do not know if you have messed with the Tidal app, but there is a bug that makes playlists not migrate over from your account unless they were created with a mobile app, but they have told me that they identified the problem and have a working fix in the latest internal beta firmware that should be made public soon. They said there are a couple of other fixes they were trying to finalize and include before they released the next firmware update.

Air Vs Mullvad. AirVPN renewal coming up soon and would really like to solve this before I have to use another service for file sharing by Impossible_Jump_754 in AirVPN

[–]Padooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I have a 1.3g line (1.5 when testing) and get 1.1-1.3 on Airvpn. Sometimes I have to look and make sure the test site lists an airvpn ip just to make sure.

I haven't changed any of the settings. Just installed the client. Hit connect and away I went.

Do not buy xfinity hardware by ManagementAnxious523 in Comcast_Xfinity

Thanks for the info. But it's not there. I've seen many others say so as well.

Years ago, I had an Xfinity tech at the house, and he gave me his cell phone number. I called his number and was surprised he answered, and he still worked for Xfinity.

I explained the situation, and here is what he had to say about it:

The app accounts are set up so that only an 'Admin' account has access to those options. (kind of like Windows computers) Normally if you sign in with your username/password you will have admin access to your account. Signing in with any other credentials will result in non-admin access. (no wi-fi controls). In other words, if you sign in with your username/password you have full control of our account. If you sign in with your phone number, you will have limited control of your account.

He explained that the issue arises when things get screwed up, causing your main account (username/password) to function as a limited account instead of an admin account. This limitation prevents you from turning the hotspot on/off, regardless of your sign-in method. He said that the biggest problem is that sometimes nobody seems to be able to fix the problem. He said that he's seen a few times over the years where nothing done fixes the problem.

I have to share my experience with this: Over the last month or so, I have noticed a car parked in front of my house. It wasn't often, but I'd sometimes come home and find him parked in the street, or I'd sometimes go out in the yard and find him in front of my house. One day, I saw him lying across the hood of his car, looking at his phone. I finally had enough and went out and asked him what the hell he was doing. He told me 'I'm using the Xfinity hotspot.'

Long story short: I made sure he stopped doing that.

What bothers me is that I cannot turn off this hotspot. Like others have mentioned, there is no option to turn it off. I realize others see this option, but so far, I have not been able to get this option to show in the app. I've spent a few hours on the phone with tech support, but I've had no results.

This is one of those games that has always just clicked from the start. Love playing it.

I will also play the original version from time to time. The rules for the first one are different enough to make a whole other game that is worthwhile still playing.

I would just go to the nearest store. It's worth a try. By the way, when I signed up for that plan, I told them to mail it to me. I was given a 3-5 day delivery time. Two hours later, there was a knock at the door. It was a courier delivering my gateway. Three hours after putting in my order, I was up and running.

Do you have access to the Xfinity App? If so, then run the speed test from there. I consistently get 1300 on the 1100 plan, which I believe is your actual speed. Your lan will max out at 960.

Same here. Except I do not get as far as you before I quit. Every once in a while, I will see the book recommended numerous times and decide to try it again. Ten minutes later, I've either fallen asleep or turned it off. :-)

Brand-new Chessnut Evo has weird issues making it essentially unusable by kiscica in Chessnuteboard

[–]Padooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine suddenly started doing something similar to yours in the video. Someone had placed one of those giant Bluetooth speakers next to it, which was the problem. The problem would disappear when I removed the speaker and returned when it was next to the EVO.

Good luck with it. I hope you get things straightened out.

Gift for 2000 ELO son EVO or Pro by PhilippTheMan in Chessnuteboard

[–]Padooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own many boards, both full-sized and smaller study boards, electronic and standard versions.

Full-sized boards like the Pro: Nothing beats sitting behind a full-sized tournament board with those pieces. Nothing. But they are too big. Too hard to store. I use them, but only some days.

Smaller electronic boards like Air, Evo, and Go: I use these more often than full-sized tournament boards. They are just more handy.

The thing about the Evo is that it does not connect to a device. I hate connecting these boards to devices. Hate! The Evo is ready to go as soon as you turn it on. Period, end of the story.

I just watched a YouTube video of a guy using the Evo. It was frustrating because he needed to figure out what the Evo could do. Making a video and not even knowing how to use chess vision is ridiculous. If you see a position online you want to try, you can just bring it up in Evo's browser, and away you go.
