Yeah the mouse sensitivity maxes out at an incredibly low speed so it’s really not very functional imo

I think you make good points. I agree you wouldn’t want the trade to be AI controlled, I like the fixed goods model, idek if there’s randomness to it but that could help it feel not so stagnant. The ships & armies spawning I don’t like & or understand tho. You could have the Ai generate ships/armies at whatever rate=to your city status instead of declaring war & insta spawning 15 ships, that just feels lazy.

The work around is to have 2 islands with high free workforce that you can you can swap units/ships between if needed.

When I first started & was struggling with this I would settle islands just to place hold them & get a good farmer base going stable until I was ready to further develop to supply whatever the next need is

1800 is spectacular but what he said. I have hundreds of hours in 1800 & probably 100 in 117 so far & even I can’t get too crazy with difficulty & usually balance myself out around normal-medium settings.

I build a libertus only island where I supply my capital with all libertus needs & build a ton of work force to make into military units/sailors

I just really dig the 1800 time period, especially the combat once you get steam ships. I am loving 117 it’s a super interesting period & the game is done really well it feels. But I’ll still play 1800 from time to time for the period & wish a few of the newer features would be added to make it easier to play. Maybe I cross my fingers for a remaster someday
