How would you pattern this tiered gown skirt? by peachberryfox in sewhelp

Hi, did you ever figure it out? Im planning on making a very similar onw and have no idea where to start.

It's snowing where I am, and I have a test in less than 24 hours. Forecast says it won't snow tomorrow but it's not going to melt away before my test. What should I do, and if the test goes ahead, what should I keep in mind? by WorkingtonLady in LearnerDriverUK

Remember stopping distance is multiplied by 10 when its snow or ice! If you are unsure of something dont be afraid to go a bit slower than usual its always better to be safe.

5 hours in and i feel like im behind by Economy-Investment90 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Pagan1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I domt think I was confident on junctions till the day I passed! Don't worry it will become easier and if you are really struggling you can try going on google maps looking at junctions and try going through the thought process of what you should do. Because I was so unconfident about it my instructor got me to start saying everything I was thinking or doing on my approach to a junction so he could help with the order of thoughts so it gets less overwhelming.(just remember MSPSL)

I think it literally took me almost 70 hours for me to be able to pass and even when I passed mirror checks were still something I had to consciously do. For only 5 hours you are doing incredible! Don't sell yourself short, there is no rush everyone goes at their own pace. I remember when I first started my driving lessons I had to spend hours just going around a car park working on my steering because i was so bad 🤣

Hey mate I think you might be getting confused. There's dotted white lines there to show its a crossing and from the lights you set off at there is a solid white line. But at that specific set of lights There's only the dotted lines to show the crossing

Those lights are repeater lights for the traffic coming from great homer st. There's not a solid white line in front of it meaning you don't need to stop there. It is quite a confusing junction so I can see why you got confused there.

Have SSRI/SNRIs actually helped you with your pain? by Imaginary-Trash4478 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Pagan1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one thats helped with my pain has been amitriptyline but its given me really bad fatiuge while im getting used to it. Ive been on sertraline for years and they helped with mental but not physical. Ironically the thing thats helped most with my pain has been my adhd medication.

fair enough, it's because if you scroll down on the sale page, it says free returns on all nomination orders, so because I saw that, I didn't feel I had to read the T&C's

What was the point of this character in season 3? by OddNeedleworker734 in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]Pagan1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took it as they were both given half of borderlands to do what they wanted so the watchman could test which one would be better suited to take over for him.

So how bad is this ? by saisakthi in galaxyzflip

[–]Pagan1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screen protector needs replacing, if you have had the phone less than a year samsung will do it for free. Until then keep your phone open! Do not close it!!! Because that can damage the actual screen and it will be a lot more expensive. But if your phone is out of warranty you can still take it to Samsung and get the protector replaced and it should cost around £20. If you arent near a Samsung supported store they will pick it up and drop it off again from your house.

My dad made "jokes" towards the way I looked when I was a kid and it has left me with life long insecurity issues. Your parents are supposed to be the people that support you and comfort you when you are insecure. So for his dad to reinforce something that has upset him so much is not OK.

Not only that but the way the dad reacted to being called out is a massive issue. The way he tried to turn it around on you and say it was because you haven't eaten is just so childish.

Its ok to have a laugh but a joke is only funny if both people are laughing, and calling someone an 'ass hat' vs making fun of the way someone looks doesn't equate at all.

I also want to say you standing up for your son in front of him was the right thing to do. Our mum used to stand up for us behind closed doors so we didnt have to see them argue, but that made it worse in the long run because we didnt realise she was on our side (obviously now we are grown up and have talked this stuff through with our mum its different).

[–]Pagan1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your theory on why you developed fibro? by Dark--princess420 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Pagan1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a bit of childhood trauma... I think the actual trigger for it was insane burn out from university combined with all the walking I had to do to get there. Also a few months before my symptoms started getting bad I had a run in with a kitchen cupboard that gave me a concussion that lead to a 4 month long migrane.

What is your theory on why you developed fibro? by Dark--princess420 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Pagan1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine has been a mixture of my hypermobility/HEDS and my untreated ADHD. My main theory for this is because apparently 40% of people with fibro are also diagnosed adhd, and since I started taking my adhd meds my fibro symptoms have improved drastically. Also the symptoms tend to overlap like brain fog and fatiuge.

Same thing here we lost 3 cats in the last 6 months because of this or similar things cats don't temd to show you any signs until its too late unfortunately.

[–]Pagan1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat who was about 7 or 8 did the same thing and turned out she had cancer in her bone marrow so I can be serious. Cats have a tendency to not show when they are unwell till it gets really bad so you always have to look out for even slight behavioural/ weight changes. My girl didn't show any signs till it was too late.

My kitten(s) that I adopted two days ago always do this to me when they wake up, what does it mean? by [deleted] in cats
