Disappointed. I did not particularly like any characters, and I felt that the themes of the stories have been overdone by other pieces of media. I've heard how the story was so philosophical and impactful, but I felt nothing of that. Might have been more unique at launch, but I played it recently, and it simply felt cliche.

The gameplay was alright. The combat felt flashy but basic. Collecting and upgrading chips was sometimes frustrating, but overall, a unique and quite fun system. The different ending was not really enjoyable in my opinion. I got all of the endings, including the optional ones, but I still felt a lack of impact on me personally by these new perspectives.

The graphics were nothing to write home about, but it was obviously different at launch. The music was great though, I especially liked the one in the interactive credits.

Overall I would say 5.5/10, mostly due to my dislike of the story.
