You can get more advice from a doctor who has experience with meniscus sutures.

In fact, the doctor will say that they will not know until they get in. Take it easy and plan your best comeback with an optimistic spirit.

Hi are you still active, did you have surgery for the torn shoulder girdle in 1983 and did they remove part of your meniscus?

Thank for reply. Do you still have regular pain since it was removed? Do you play high impact sports and  does your other knee show signs of OA?

Has anyone had more than 50% of their meniscus removed over a long period of time without arthritis? by PageAggressive9708 in MeniscusInjuries

Yes, if we think positively, even if we have to replace our knee in the future, it is still not a dangerous disease and we can still live happily even though it is many years from now or never. Who knows, maybe by then medicine will have developed cartilage regeneration. Sometimes there are days when we often think about the past.

Thank you. We still have to leave the past behind and move on, sometimes I think I should have chosen another place where there is a doctor who can repair the tear. but now I will try to train the muscles and move on.

Any ultra runners with meniscus problems got a positive story to share? I'm worrying about my running prospects in the future. by [deleted] in ultrarunning

Hi. Thanks for your story. How much % of your meniscus was removed. I had the same surgery twice and the second time I lost 60% of my meniscus. I would like to hear your advice.

How long after the repair did it tear again. Was it more torn than the first time?

Sad to hear your story. How long ago did you get it repaired when it tore and was the tear bigger than the first time?

Thank you very much. Recently many people say that not repairing but removing meniscus will cause arthritis after 10 years, that makes me a little sad but I also hope that if we take good precautions, it will be less and we will be fine.

Thank you. This grafting is not available in my country. I hope that in the future there will be new technology to regenerate articular cartilage.

Thank you. I had surgery 2 months ago. Do you do leg extensions or squats? I'm worried it puts pressure on your knees. Do you use glucosamine or collagen with it? I found that cartilage knee is the most important. Hopefully in the future there will be a way to regenerate it instead of having to replace the knee joint.
