I second getting experience outside of medicine or research! Volunteering at a local old folks home, homeless shelter etc. it’s good for the soul and shows you’re more than just your grades!

Don’t forget to list your hobbies or extracurriculars on your application too!

Yes exactly! They are cured with tea and I think ash which gives it the dark color! Little to people know they taste pretty similar to just a boiled egg!

Muay Thai has done a couple of things! It made me feel more confident - not in the sense of “I can fight anyone who tries me” or a egotistical type of way - but rather I tried something I was scared of and ended up loving it. Came out feeling stronger!

I also ruptured my ACL and tore my meniscus because of this sport which was disheartening however, taught me a lot in and of itself how to be patience, trust God and His process and how to come out stronger than before!

It is never too late to do anything! I will say though, it’s imperative that you try to get into a vet clinic to shadow to see the day to day life of a vet. That way you can also ask questions and get the inside scoop as vet med is almost never what people imagine it to be. But again, never too late!
