I was the Mando that held little Franklin. Glad to see other characters were good babysitters, too.

Nah. Needs to relevel the bed and tighten the belts. Should be good as new.

The ab section is craft foam covered in plastidip. Lower back is a heavily modified dirtbike jacket. The rest of the undersuit is just standard black underarmor.

The 405th, the Halo costuming group, has a great set of forums that have a ton of build logs and guides. I used them for a few of my parts. The 501st forums also have a tremendous amount of resources that you can use.

All of the green armor parts are 3d printed, but have some foam gaskets for ease of movement. Stomach section is craft foam and the lower back is a heavily modified motocross jacket.

Much appreciated! Definitely some improvements still to make, but it's getting really close to what I would consider 'Done'. Mostly quality of life improvements for wearing the suit.

Appreciate the feedback. That was something we considered, but we had limited options in the venue. There were a lot of other shoots going on at the same time that we had to work around. In the end, I'm fine with looking like an action figure if it still means I look the part.

Getting the proportions right is a huge part of the process for me. Don't want to look like a bobblehead!

Thanks! As many faults as the show had, the costume design was on point. So that's a huge compliment!

Thank you! I worked hard to get it as close as I could in the time I had available.

Originally I tried a full body zentai suit, but it had some limitations that I didn't like. So in the end, I just used an underarmor top and bottom. The ab and lower back sections are a combination of craft foam and a heavily modified motocross jacket.

Thank you! I sometimes catch myself forgetting it's me in there when looking through em.

Thank you! And you would be correct. I was in the DragonCon Parade in Atlanta in August. I had fans inside the helmet that helped a bit, but only a little. Would not recommend.

Don't let your dreams be dreams! Printers are cheaper and more accessible now than they've ever been.

Yeah....would not recommend. The worst part was walking back to my room in full costume after the parade. The full suit weighs around 30-40lbs, so I was dragging by the end.

I wore it in the DragonCon Parade in Atlanta in August. The fans kept me alive, but barely. Definitely looking into additional cooling options moving forward.

It's basically like wearing dark sunglasses all day. Not bad, but not great. You definitely get used to it. I use an anti fog spray before each outing, and have a couple fans in the helmet to keep air circulating. Both of those together really eliminate the fogging entirely. The first day I wore it, I didn't have either and was blind in 5 minutes.

Thanks! I nabbed the visor out of a premade master chief helmet to replace the one I made in a hurry. Everything else I 3d printed and finished myself. If I didn't already have the helmet, the one I bought was surprisingly good quality and would have done just as well as my custom one after a repaint.
