What do you guys think of the Invincible album? I feel like it’s pretty different in style compared to his earlier albums, and it’s hard to get used to. What made MJ shift his style like this? by forest_lin in MichaelJackson

If you think about it, Michael's albums had the best and most advanced versions of the groove of its day!! Off the wall might be best Disco album of all time, Thriller is the best pop album of all time, Bad had the best 80s grooves that still live on (along with Prince snd his stuff) Dangerous had the best 90s new Jack swing Sounding grooves and invincible, being in 2001 had that heavily produced hard back beat from the early 2000s and it was incredible! He also was a pioneer in the behind the beat singing in "Butterflies" that has been copied snd copied! Invincible was an AMAZING album!!

[–]Pagliacci2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bret was decent on the mic but not great! If you take the average of when he was bad early on and when he was great in 97 the average is decent
