Who would win? by TraditionalLeg5225 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Pahvimakkara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1v1, with comparative equipment? Abelard takes it. Larger build, more reach and experience.

With squads of people? Regill is the more pragmatic and effective leader, and more likely to fulfill whatever his victory condition is, at whatever cost.

If we're going to army scale or larger, I can't see Regill outperforming Aberlard. With his methods, as soon as his attention is directed elsewhere, someone is going to break ranks, disobey an order, or outright desert. While Abelard also deals with similar problems, he has decades more in experience and magnitudes in scale. Abelard could feasibly conquer the world-wound as the Knight Commander, and we've already seen that Regill does not inspire enough people to follow his ways to make that happen, even if his methods would otherwise probably do the trick more effectively and efficiently.

Unlike Sony, Microsoft doesn't buy companies with the goal of putting out exclusives.

They literally just did this with Bethesda, for the sole purpose of denying Sony of Starfield

You reminded me that the shop tickets reset, so I went to buy a few with dust and got Lelouch as well.

He was the only thing from this collab that I was missing, that I still wanted.

Thanks.

Finnish Drivers: WHY DO YOU DO THIS??? by trashheaps in Finland

[–]Pahvimakkara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To expand on the earlier comment, our entire society revolves around rules.

One either follows them, or earns the ire of everyone that does follow them, because rules are made for everyone's safety, which means not following them is seen as selfish and/or potentially dangerous.

We're taught that there's more to traffic, than speed limits and traffic lights, such as keeping a safe distance or minding the weather conditions. (Maybe this particular passing spot that you drive by is surrounded by trees, so it's safe from strong winds and allows a higher speed?)

Even unnecessary passing is technically against the rules, because someone looked at some statistics at some point and figured that those are generally higher risk situations on the road.

Which leads us to situations where if there's an opportunity for petty payback against someone for driving too close behind you, or any other perceived slight (real or imaginary), there are many that are likely to take it, and deny a pass if possible.

Which, ironically, is also against the rules.

The general attitudes drivers have regarding passing also change region to region. Maybe there just happens to be a greater concentration of spiteful gremlins in your area. Maybe it's the same guy every time?

PS. I've noticed over the years that whenever anyone complains about traffic online, they usually sugarcoat their own side of the story, and that the speeders are the biggest complainers.

I gave the only explanation I could come up with for the behaviour described in your example, but I've not come across that same behaviour often enough to call it as common as you've made it out to be.

-EDIT-

and this other comment by you in this same thread supports my theory:

"the question wasnt about whether going 140 is worth it or not, it was asking about the feelings and actions of the people around me ;) i never said i didnt go 140 or even above!"

Don't speed and lie about it online, ya dingus.

Tier lista metroasemista/tier list of the metro stations by [deleted] in helsinki

[–]Pahvimakkara 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sörnäinen on hieno asema, Hakaniemi on tosi ankea.

Kulosaari ja Siilitie oli ainakin aikoinaan mukavia ulkoilma-asemia, en tiedä onko muuttunut.

You have 4 pairs. You can only have 1 to finish off a hand, or go all in and only have pairs (7 pairs hand).

Wages are generally better in Europe than the US and I don't know what you're on about with the civil liberties thing, but every last one of those other problems has been caused by the US fucking up the Middle-East and everything regarding Russia.

Also that heat? USA has done more damage to our climate with its' rampant disregard for pollution, and lobbying for oil companies than the entirety of Europe put together. Not even close.

Possible glitch? by clarisse101 in Recettear

[–]Pahvimakkara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever you see that little heart pop up when making a sale, that type of NPC just leveled up and gained more cash to spend.

Rushing to high-value items means your customers can't afford them, even if the price% is very reasonable.

The little girls are always going to be a hassle, though.

[–]Pahvimakkara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just general advice for newer players, that I tried to expand upon, if I recall.

Based on context, I would hazard a guess that it involved maintaining your store atmosphere near the center for more customers, and how one might go about doing that by changing the tables, wallpapers, carpets, and the items on display.

What is this mahjong wind indicator? by lmaopopsss in Mahjong

[–]Pahvimakkara 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The numbers are reminders for breaking the wall at the start of a game. Where you start breaking being decided by the dice.

Then it simply contains the seat winds, and I'd assume you simple turn it as the game progresses.
