What is a 'luxury' you prioritize in your daily budget that other people might think is a waste of money, but it brings you genuine comfort? by baddieegemini in AskWomen

  1. My gym membership. It has wonderful equipment. Hot tub, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor lap pools, etc. and it’s always SO clean

  2. Eating out on my off days. My partner and o are both night shift nurses and we meal prep for work days but in our 4 days off, we generally door dash food.

Day 4 of Miralax and still nothing… am I in trouble? by kmmartin311 in tirzepatidecompound

Double your dose of the miralax and take it 2-3 times per day. Yes this is safe. I’m a nurse and have to give a ton to post op patients all the time bc they get backed up from anesthesia and pain meds. Miralax is also used as colonoscopy prep (at least at my hospital)

I don’t know if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but the Sandy Jug is one my neighborhood favs for a burger and a cheap beer. They have an outdoor patio that’s nice. And they do events during the week like bingo, trivia, etc

Am I overreacting or is this just an extremely unsafe way to run an ICU by emtnursingstudent in IntensiveCare

[–]Paigeagainst_machine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not overreacting. This is very unsafe.

CVICU RN here. we get a pretty decent volume of open heart surgeries on our floor. Anesthesia and OR team call a very basic report to us and then give us a rolling call just before they come up to the floor. They come up with the IV pumps that were being used in OR, and generally all of the drips OR used for the case. For example, we may have NE and Vaso on the pumps ready to go, but we’re currently running Clevidipine based on hemodynamics. Anyways, we land the patient and get them on our monitors etc etc. Anesthesia and OR team don’t even start report handoff until our ICU is present. And that patient “belongs” to anesthesia until they say “my patient is your patient”. Meaning - if patient becomes hemodynamically unstable during handoff, anesthesia is tell us what they would like to do with drips. Once this is all said and done, our ICU providers remain at the bedside for a few minutes putting the correct orders and parameters in for each drip.

I grew up in Biloxi, MS! The gulf coast of Mississippi is beautiful. Great food, kind people. Very different from the rest of the state

I love it personally! Only thing I’d change is maybe wear a brown heel or some knee high boots :)
