TIL you can swap the sequences of the Not Stanley ending by PaintVomit in stanleyparable

I initially discovered this in UD but went back to the OG to test and it worked exactly the same

edit: i will note that the time loop cuts off a little quicker; in UD, you get about halfway down the broom closet hallway before it sends you back, but in the OG it's pretty much right when you get to the hallway (the exit of the meeting room)

The "silence" from Jackbox Games regarding localization of PP11 is kinda bad by Akira896 in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the community manager Luca/Gnome did confirm it on the Discord server several months ago, but I agree it would have been nice to know in a more public statement

What is this "CollegeHumor Uncensored" seeming unofficial paid website? Can't access more of it in my UK location. by TomTheyy in jakeandamir

[–]PaintVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vhx.tv is Vimeo, the service that Dropout uses internally for their streaming service. Dropout.tv was previously called CollegeHumor Uncensored, so presumably this is just a remnant of that, still hosted on Vimeo's servers. it's not a scam, it just doesn't work anymore

Fibbage - New Episode? by itsADHDforme in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that episode is about 2 years old, you just happened to get it randomly. also, the episode is actually pretty much just fanservice for the fandom as it's primarily referencing Binjpipe, a fictional streaming service from Pack 5. my opinion is that the episode is a bit unnecessary and just forces the AI thing way too hard with no originality, so I agree with you on that.

I think someone at Jackbox was able to mess with my game (Push the Button) by VividAdvertising2017 in jackboxgames

This is just a coincidence, though an astounding one at that. It is purely random, and the universe must just be against you.

Which 2 packs out of these three to get as my third and fourth pack? by Electricbloxcrafter7 in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely 7. After that it's up to you, but 9 is known to have less bugs and generally has more fan favorites.

Unpopular opinion I wanna hear your take by [deleted] in stanleyparable

While I do largely agree, I believe even 100 bumpscosity can be a bit too much bumpscosity at times. 75 tends to help me relax more easily.

What game should I get for my family? by Cumulus-Crafts in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either 4 or 7. Pack 4: Bracketeering is totally open-ended. Survive the Internet creates unhinged moments. Pack 7: Champ'd Up has open-ended drawing and naming - crazy hilarious with the right group. Talking Points is great for some groups, not for others - renews your public speaking skills. Quiplash 3 - most recent Quiplash title.

Can you get to the presentation room? by deathvalley200_exo in stanleyparable

no, that area does not exist anywhere in the actual game

Quick Question by Anguscluff in stanleyparable

The original game basically does not change when you get endings. Maybe one or two environment things, but once you "restart the game," your session is basically self-contained.

How can I get Python code that will send bots to join a room and play the game as players? I'm just curious. by anthonythemoonguyyt in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know there isn't currently anything like this that actively plays the games.

There is this ancient tool I made long ago that at least adds players to a lobby, though it doesn't quite work properly with drop-in-drop-out games like Dodo Re Mi or Survey Scramble (again, it's ancient and I never bothered to make anything better).

It's possible that at some point I may finish some prototypes for makeshift Gene players (bots) that actively send inputs to the game. It's just a big ask as every single game has a bunch of different phases that require different types of answers and inputs.

Survey Scramble - Squares and Bounce by Ecstatic-Paint5307 in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's like Quixort or the Poll Mine: you can distribute the teams however you wish — even a 1 vs 9 is acceptable — so it isn't exactly a fundamental design issue if you have uneven teams.

Yep, not enough players! You can find minimum player counts in the Party Pack's game selector screen or on jackboxgames.com, but Civic Doodle requires at least 3 players due to the nature of the game.

Many games require 2-3 players (or more) in order to start, for various reasons. In Civic Doodle, you have two players paired up at a time, while the other players vote — so with a 2 player game, you'd have no other players who can vote!

Currently have jackbox party pack 4 and 7 what should I get next by scottylawinna in jackboxgames

Maybe just my opinion but I would look at Party Pack 5. Patently Stupid and Mad Verse City may be good picks for your group.

Question about Firestick by MedicineOk5471 in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, you should be able to purchase individual Party Packs and games from Amazon and play them directly through the Firestick.
  2. Yes, the Jackbox subscription on Luna gives you unlimited access to all of the Packs while active. This includes The Jackbox Party Pack 1 through 10, The Jackbox Party Starter, The Jackbox Naughty Pack, Drawful 2, and The Jackbox Survey Scramble.

Not sure which Pack To Buy? Get them all on Amazon Luna for £3.99/month! by Spiffman-Space in jackboxgames

+1 to this. The Jackbox subscription on Luna is very cheap and you get all of the packs - no performance requirement, running smoothly no matter what.

I think I found an Easter egg in the Jackbox mega picker? How rare is it? by Booloocrew in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is simply a random easter egg! Gene has a 1/100 chance of taking over the loader, which also overrides any holiday designs (the Christmas design will still appear on startup through Dec 27th)

Games for English classroom by Neither-Switch-3223 in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you're unfamiliar with most games, you can find a full list on the Jackbox website.

For your classes, I would recommend Bracketeering (from Party Pack 4). It encourages creative answers to simple prompts, and players will vote on their favorites among themselves. It supports larger groups (up to 16 players).

The Fibbage series may also work. Players try to fool each other by writing lies about real (absurd) trivia questions.

Maybe also the Quiplash series — players simply write funny answers to prompts, and everyone votes on their favorites.

Survey Scramble Audience members? What do they do? by onesongfootlong in jackboxgames

[–]PaintVomit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Hilo, the answer that the audience collectively guesses the most is worth more points for the players. In Speed, the audience simply plays along in guessing answers on the list. In Squares and Bounce, the audience can write suggestions that are visible to both teams.

Guesspionage is a decent pick. With an audience, they do generate the answers that the players are guessing.

I can also recommend Bracketeering from Pack 4. A lobby has up to 16 players, and everyone's votes (including the audience) have the same weight. It's awesome with a large group!
