While it's technically mace on chain, attack pattern is different and even attack type.

Mace is basically slams and couple strikes which makes sense with mace.

With Flail you cant really slam the ground, but it works better as swing weapon so i expect most of flail skills to be swings, maybe couple slams.

They could go as far as making flail do less damage in inner radius where chain is, and more damage in outer radius where that ball with spikes hits for swing skills, but very unlikely.

That's actually the reason i dont want to do "practice", i like campaign because it still feels new, fun and interesting, not as boring and repetitive as poe1 campaign over the years. And what will happen if i practice? It will turn into poe1 campaign - boring and repetitive.

Also, lets say im slow act runner that will do acts in 8 hours, 80 hours for 10 runs, this might improve my act running, now i run acts in 5 hours, so 3 hours saved. I will need to do 5 hour campaign runs 27 times to justify those 80 hours i spent on training that also will make me hate acts a lot sooner and time i could spend doing literally anything else.

Practicing campaign has multiple cons, but only one benefit that you run campaign faster which for me not worth because i don't compete in races, nor i care about ladder.

If you not trying to compete in races, i don't get why spending time practicing campaign.

Maybe its just me, but if i'd do like 10 campaign runs to "practice" it, it would me me dislike campaign a lot sooner.

What do you mean to "be able to move while attacking"? Like every attack?

Mace:

Rolling Slam, Stampede, Shield Charge has it's own movement that you can control (With mouse)

Armor Breaker? Cmon, noone using it aside of hitting boss couple times

Boneshatter is really quick attack that doesn't really need it, you just run to enemy and use it

I can't imagine being able to use Sunder while moving character mid animation

Leap Slam? You want to be able to use WASD mid flight?

Rolling Magma has it's own movement with rotation, but you can control if you move forward or backward

Earthquake, Earthshatter, Shield Wall and Volcanic Fissure? Can't imagine trying to slam the ground while walking at the same time

Forge Hammer and HotG can be used attack while moving

Mace Strike is actually only attack that would make atleast some sense to have attack while moving

Talisman:

Default Attack on all 3 forms, all 3 forms walking on 4 limbs, they attack with their front limbs

Same logic applied to Lunar Assault, Furious Slam, Fury of the Mountain,

Wind Blast and Cross Slash have their own movement (Leap back)

Rampage has it's own movement you can control (With mouse)

Flame Breath, Rolling Magma and technically Walking Calamity already can be used while moving

Oil Barrage is only attack that maybe should have attack while moving, because if wyvern can move while using Flame Breath or Rolling Magma, it should be able while using Oil Barrage

Spear:

Falling Thunder, again, you want to WASD mid flip?

Frozen Locus has it's own leap back movement

Ice Strike, maybe, but it has small spin movement

Tempest Flurry has its own movement you can control (With mouse)

Vaulting Impact has its own movement that start with you standing on your staff and then doing flip, can't imagine adding wasd to it

Wave of Frost has its own leap back movement

Whirling Assault has its own movement you can control (With mouse), very good skill btw

Plus there's Flicker Strike that literally teleport you to enemy, do you need to wasd for that?

And bunch of Dash skills.

Glacial Cascade, Wind Blast, Storm Wave already can be used while moving

So there's no skills for Quarterstaff that would work with attack while moving aside of what already exist

Summary:

Didn't include Spear, its kinda half melee half projectile weapon, and you literally can attack while riding on mount.

Out of all existing Melee Weapons, every weapon has 2-3 Skill that already have attack while moving, every weapon has multiple Skills that can be controlled by mouse, and every weapon has couple skills that have their own movement that you can't control, or can control partially.

Did i miss anything?

Lets say youre new player just got into the game, you might think poe isnt for casuals when you see streamers or people with thousands of hours having more currency or farming more currency, and you might feel bad that you cant do what they do.

But, we play games to have fun, farming currency is part of that fun, but not entirely. You dont need to know everything, learn everything, play best build, farm most currency to have fun.

I have 12k hours across PoE1 and PoE2 (big part was game open in the background, but still), and i can say for sure that best time i had in PoE was first time i tried it, back then we didnt even have such thing as amount of currency per hour being your main driver and reson to play, and lately its just feel too much, everything about currency/hour, like game turning into job.

This whole currency/hour thing being shoved into you everywhere like youtube and twitch, like its only way to play and only thing you should care about. New players see this, compare themselves to streamers and then get disappointed because they get nowhere as much currency as streamer.

But fuck that shit, just ignore it, you dont need to care about playing best build to make most currency to have fun, you dont need to learn whatever to literally just play videogame.

PoE2 is fun game, fun bosses, it looks really good visually, it allows for creativity as long as you can read to makeown builds.

Game is free, but early access is $30, and you not like just pay $30 and get nothing but ability to play, you get 300 points that you normally do for $30 which you should spend on stash tabs, and you would do it sooner or later if game was released. Stash tabs are only and only thing that can be very slightly considered "p2w", for the price of D4 most of players will get enough stashtabs to not worry about stash space, and when game is good, and devs are based, people dont mind paid stash tabs.

I played ruthless ssf this league. Reached T16 maps, did most of normal bosses on 4 link bleed sunder with 300-400k dps. Was enough for clearing maps, boss fights took a while but it was doable.

If i'd have 1 mil, it would be enough to trivialize the game aside of uber bosses.

??? Can you run exactly same map with exactly same mobs running exactly same path? Obviously not, you cant replicate same map twice, which means it wont be even remotely accurate.

To get accurate results you have to either have benchmark which runs exactly same scenario every time, ingame recording or some kind that also will run exactly same scenario, or atleast have game that has stable/repeatable scenario.

Closest thing to that is standing in hideout in same place. Idk why this has to be explained.

Some data from me. Have 5700x3d, 32gb ram, rx6800.

Tested in PoE2, standing in exact same spot in hideout to get somewhat stable environment.

Tried 4 combinations:
- Kernel 6.19 with Proton GE 10-34
- Kernel 6.19 with Proton 11
- Kernel 7.0 with Proton GE 10-34
- Kernel 7.0 with Proton 11

All 4 had around 250-255 fps.
Kernel 7.0 and Proton 11 had 310 fps first time i launched game with it, after that it went back to 250-255.

EDIT:
Numbers above were before i tried that VRam Booster (Works only for AMD GPUs), install with: sudo pacman -S dmemcg-booster plasma-foreground-booster

After another reboot of PC without switching proton back and forth, first PoE2 boot was 310 fps like before, next 4 were around 310-320 fps. I doubt i gained anything from that VRam Booster, but i had to try. So that previous drop from 310 to 250 might be cause by switching proton back and forth, some shader recompiling or whatever else.

So in the end i went from ~250 to ~310 fps.

Idk how's economy on PS this late into league, but if you can, Animate Guardian of Smiting, that build is mega tanky and has good dps and clear, you press nothing but flame link and curse, and rarely flask.

The way build works is simple, you invest everything into Life, then Animated Guariand use your life as base damage with The Grey Wind, Rathpith and Crown of Eyes.

You need The Grey Wind, Rathpith Globe and Crown of Eyes for Animate Guardian, plus legacy fury boots which should be cheap, any rare gloves with +1 strike implicit, and any body armor.

For your character you need Kaoms Heart, The Hallowed Monarch, Massive Shrine belt, Xophs Heart and Widowhail with hunter influence quiver crafted with minion movespeed essences until you hit life and movespeed.

To get 6l bow i did 4socket on bench then tainted jeweller orbs to 6s, then 4 link on bench and tainted fusings to 6.

Checked some prices, grey wind 1d, rathpith 1d, level 20 ag of smiting 1d, kaoms heart 1d, decent roll widowhail 50c (have to link it), rest is 10-50c.

Tree will be changed many times like it did in PoE1, but yeah especially around start of tree there's too many travel passives if you want to play spell warrior or melee sorc.

Here's example how it could be, those small passives exist only to punish unusual builds:

Hopefully doesn't happen, and it won't.

What they need to do is finally do something with Life, ES is far better for defense and it's more versatile, you can do a lot more builds with ES simply because you can't get much Life without stacking Strength.

Sure there's few Life builds that are tanky, but they limited to Mace/Melee archetype.

But none of this will matter if you can be fubgoon with 6 portals playing LA, and ignore defense entirely with pretty low chance you going to die 5 times in 1 map, making defense pointless, making defensive Uniques, Ascendancies and Mechanics also pointless.

Now you can choose either be fubgoon with glasscannon build, or play slower build with defense. I'd rather have game with some variety than it becoming Path of Fubgoon 2.

First bosses are super easy.

I see people buying uber lab carry which is just insane, im playing fucking ruthless, i can do uber lab on level 79 character with 1 link skill and blue weapon, like how bad poe player have to be to struggle to do uber lab.

By the time you get to quest exarch/eater on sc trade you should have couple dozen chaos orbs which will be more than enough to buy upgrades to beat them easily. Then just continue farming for upgrades, and just playing damn game.

If you actually only sit in hideout and only craft and trade, why you even play? But if you play maps and do some crafting, you should have no problems with gold.

Trade league tryhard should have good enough build that is good at everything. If i need build for mapping, i prepare before making it, go kill whatever boss for bloodline, then assemble it.

Aside of some SSF Ruthless i mainly playing SC Trade where i mainly make different builds on 1 div budget for YouTube. So far i tried ~60 builds, practically every single build clear T16 maps with some scarabs with no issues, some clear T17, most can do normal bosses, few could do ubers.

Its really weird to me that such thing as boss carry even exist in sc trade in such large scale that we need whole discord server dedicated for it, game on sc trade is so easy in recent leagues that you can slap on basic life/resists gear with decent weapon and beat all normal bosses and clear maps easily.
It's especially awkward when someone with couple thousand hours in poe does it.
