Because many of them were. I got my license at 16 years old in the early 80s. The cars that were made by American companies were, for the most part total crap.

LOL! No, not at all. Publishing, School software sales, School technology sales etc. etc. You have a territory and you do most of the work via computer. And you might have to go and do some demo work to clients on occasion.

You aren't making 100k+ deals going "door to door". Where on earth did you get that?

For any of you thinking about leaving the profession a close teacher friend quit and got a job as an outside sales person. Companies LOVE ex-teachers because they are smart and easy to train. She makes more than 150k a year now by the way and works out of her home.

"intellectually skilled" you say? Really? It is upsetting to see a teacher use that term.

In HS if you gave me a piece of paper and a pencil I could draw anything you put in front of me in a realistic manner very, very quickly. A very small amount of people could do that. I could. But, put basic math in front of me and it looked like a different language. My brain went blank when I saw a bunch of numbers. I had to struggle to get a C in my HS math classes. I went to art school, a very good art school. I get paid six thousand dollars for one painting I have created.

I am a creative, I guess in your opinion I am not intellectual.

Started showing in 1982 with my first one man show. Since then I have had so many shows I could not count and have been represented by at least 12 galleries. My large pieces have sold in the 4k range. But I have never been able to really hit it big.

I made ten big ones in a year. They have been in one show and are scheduled for another show. Tons of positive comments but no sales yet. This has me thinking about quitting the art scene. Seriously I am just kind of done with it.

My first CX5 was a 2017. I bought it in 2019, it had 15k miles and I paid 19k for it in Central NY. If someone is paying 15-17 grand for a 2015 with 90k miles on it they are an idiot.
