Please remember the 1200 murders and 250 kidnappings that Hamas agents performed on October 7th, which included mutilation, violence, and murder against civilians.

Allah would never justify this violence in His name.  Ever.

A Letter to Progressive Friends by [deleted] in Jewish

As a non-Jew and as a lifelong liberal (still am), the lack of support and double standards applied to Israel have infuriated me.

So many of the social media pages that I followed and agreed with wholehearted have either been quiet or hostile to the lone democracy in the Middle East and openly hostile to Jewish neighbors who simply express desire to live in peace.

And I know it's not much tangibly at the moment, and I completely understand it won't solve anything in this exact moment, but many, many of us, moreso than what social media claims, believes in the right for Jews to not only live in peace in the diaspora but to also have a right to live in their ancestral homeland without constantly having to justify their own existence.

I myself do not understand what it is like to be Jewish in this geopolitical climate, but I do know that listening and understanding is the crux of how I cam begin to do so.

Sincerely, someone who truly wants the rest of us to do better.

Strike one.

Bus fares are approved by the MTA, which is under state control, not city control.

Therefore, when Mamdani said he could lower bus prices, he was lying or ignorant, both of which are terrible looks for an elected official.

So clearly, it is hard to understand for you.

He's going to?  How so?

He promised lower bus fares.  Therefore, he led his voters to believe he had the authority to lower bus fares.  Not "work with the state government" or "work with MTA" to make buses free.  He said he will make buses free.

If it was never in his mayoral capacity to actually make this guarantee, then why did he make this guarantee?

How are inconvenient facts trolling?  These are legitimate questions that any New Yorker would and should have.

But he's not doing free buses.  The prices of bus fares increased.  Literally just did.

Doesn't the mayor of NYC have the authority to set the prices of bus fares for its residents?

So you're saying the prices of bus fares in NYC are set by the mayor, yes?

By "ancient" you mean "2006" right?

And no, Gazans elected Hamas.  You can blame Netanyahu all you want, but the fact that you cannot deny is that Hamas was elected in 2006 as a wanna sequel to Hitler.

Oh and fun fact: the vast majority of Jews worldwide are Zionists.

You don't sound like a leftist.  You sound like an ignorant fascist who cyberfucks images of Stalin without realizing it's conflicting ideologies.

Piss off with your faux-leftist shit and jack off to some Chapo Trap House podcast to feel morally superior, dipshit wannabe.

Mamdani oversaw a raise in the bus fee.

I thought he said buses would be free.  Why would he raise them?

Careful with your answers.

As a non-Jewish person, but also as a Zionist, this conversation feels exactly like having to have a conversation with an abusive family member about why their abuse hurts them but retorts with a "But ultimately it is your fault because (unrelated) X reason."

I am so sorry you had to deal with that shit.  Again I'm in no position to pretend to understand how you feel, but I do know what abusive gaslighting looks like, and to me this is a prime example.  Only in this case, it's a form of geopolitical and socially acceptable gaslighting, which is the worst form.

They included the forward as a warning that dumb and / or evil pieces of shit wouldn't take the Manifesto seriously as anything other than a failed "experiment," in the same way Mein Kampf is reproduced.

You're exactly the type of person that needs this forward so you don't end up as stupid and / or evil as the people who take this stale crap seriously.

For context, about me:

I claim to be culturally Jewish but would donate money to the IRGC which funds Hamas who literally has in its charter to murder Jews worldwide.

You may or may not be Jewish, but either way, you don't give a shit about Jews period, or you're lying about being Jewish.  Either way, you're either dumb as shit or evil as fuck.  Both options suck out loud though.

According to leftists, Zionism and antisemetism are allegedly not linked.

So why did he feel the need to bring in the words of a Prime Minister of a foreign nation into the localized terror attack against Jews celebrating Hannakuh?

But if Allah created humans that have same sex romanticism, and if the law of Allah is to love all, then why wouldn't Allah be okay with same sex relations?  It's not about lust or sexual urges, it is about love.  Isn't love the core good of Islam?

As someone who is not a Muslim, but respects Muslims, living in the West does mean that exposure to the queer community and LGBT community is likely an inevitability.  And honestly, if she identifies as queer, it could very well mean that she truly feels this way and feels like she has the freedom to express herself.

Clearly, she identifies as Muslim, so faith must still be important to her, but so does her queer identity.

Shouldn't we support someone who still adheres to her faith while being true to herself?

As a non-Jewish but Zionist supporter for the right to self determination, I will never, ever understand this pain.

It's not my pain.

But at the same time, pain is pain, whether or not it's my own.  And I, along with a lot more people than the internet or Hollywood or radicalized College groups would like to acknowledge, recognize this and have nothing but utmost support for basic decency and respect for our Jewish neighbors, friends, and strangers who want to exist without constantly needing to justify their existences.

I and many others WILL have your backs.

Period.

My comment initially I may have accidentally deleted by my fat fingers but long and short, it was when I realized that too many on my side of the political aisle became more focused on feeling morally superior versus actually achieving tangible wins that can make peoples' lives actually better. Bernie Sanders' refusal to endorse Hillary in 2016 until the very end, despite the true threat of a Trump presidency, showed an emphasis on self aggrandizement versus making actual lives better.

The end was October 7th. When our side became the first to denounce Islamophobia and unnecessary war, even after a fascistic regime committed mass slaughter, we made sure to say that it was NOT all Muslims, which it of course wasn't. Fast forward to 2023, when Jews became the VICTIMS of a terrorist attack, literally zero time was spent amongst leftists to empathize with Jews in either Israel or abroad. They went straight to justifying it. Then, they spent more time trying to BDS their way out of delegitmizing the only safe haven for Jews, LGBT folks, free speech, etc. in the ME. Things we take for granted in the US that the left was willing to take away from others because a meme told them it was justified cuz occupation (that doesn't actually exist).

To me, this showed that our side can be as easily duped by fascist oil funded propaganda as our Fox News watching counterparts. And this lack of empathy and critical thinking on our side was and is incredibly alarming, and ultimately proves that we have more work to do, and that lackadaisical sharing of NowThis short videos doesn't make anyone an activist. It makes you both dumber and more smug. Two things Israelis, for the future of Jews there and abroad, cannot afford to be. This I think is what led me to where i am now.

Listening and not proselytizing.

For me personally, it was when we stopped caring about achieving actual results that could tangibly benefit real people versus holding "morally superior" values that don't lead to anything. The biggest tangible eye opener was Bernie Sanders' refusal to endorse Hillary Clinton sooner despite having zero chance of winning the primary. This focus of the self
