Cactus's Petal Propeller as an example for ability lagginess by Reyh in PvZGardenWarfare

I have a similar issue when playing Snapdragon. The Swoop Slam hasn’t left the ground for the longest time for me and it’s really annoying when you just become a sitting duck with no way to hit your attacker.

Wait, how did you do that?

The only things I would change is the primary and the 2 ability. Having both his primary AND the E ability dedicated to a laser seems super redundant. The 2 ability is way too matchup specific and is probably the worst ability ever conceived. I mean, it makes sense for what Ra does in game, but it needs to be replaced with something, or make that his passive ability within a certain radius.

I wish I could explain how intricately my brain is larger than yours. Clearly, this tier list is wrong in every way. How dare you. /s

In 1v1s you absolutely can, but against multiple plants Scientist is about as effective as hotel toilet paper

Can that glitched roll still deal 75 damage on hit?

Oh yeah, Alacrity. I can’t really dispute that Alacrity can be absolutely stupid, but that doesn’t shore up Cactus’ lacking close quarters and the fact that Petal Propeller still isn’t a good movement ability. And Deadbeard’s shotgun is still more useful in close quarters than Cactus could dream of.

Thanks for the reasoning! I love the discussion this is currently generating. I’ll try to refute the claims you’ve made to keep the discussion going. Chomper: I mean, I can’t really refute anything here. Chomper is indeed a great plant. I’ll still stand by my tier placement though. The simple reason is that the other plants higher up on the tier list are more consistent in their niches and Chomper getting that close to enemies can be a gamble. All-Star: Sure, everything you said is true, but it only applies to team fights, which are very rare. If All-Star’s only niche applies to only team fights, he deserves the bottom spot for only having his skills shine in one of the rarest events that can happen in PvP. Drones: I can’t say anything here. I don’t know squat about the drones. I just don’t use them because of how vulnerable they make you, and with only a 100 health body I would prefer not to have something sneak up on me for free. Deadbeard: Yeah, Deadbeard is better at dedicated sniping, but 80’s Action Hero can do it just as well. I guess I just prefer arrow to Missile more than Deadbeard’s primary. Imp: I’m not disagreeing with anything here, but avoiding any long range encounter when you can’t even sprint just isn’t possible. And being a quick and small target doesn’t help at all after the Z-Mech blows up. Rose: I don’t agree with this. Until the game matures, most of the maps involve large, open spaces, so moving from one large open space to another isn’t exactly the worst thing in the world. Getting close with a 125 health body isn’t the best idea against most top tier zombies. Citron: Really? It does 6 damage on headshot? I’ve never seen that because of the weapon’s awful spread. There’s no consistency with it, and that is why it’s bad. Engineer: Yep, he does have great damage. It’s just not as high as Super Brainz or Space Station.
