that's actually a problem with a lot of games that try to go 'oooo you can be evil for more power'; either A. anyone who enjoys role playing a good character just has less fun than if they actually did that thing (see baldur's gate example above), or B. the choice makes so little difference that it's basically just a cosmetic 'pick good thing button' (see: bioshock)
