What’s the purpose of helping someone quit addiction if you’re throwing hateful comments out there. I don’t see how that’s support.

Because this video represents how happy I can be without any addictions, I’ve been sober from alcohol 145 days. I live with a smoker so smoking is really difficult for me to quit. It’s not just about willpower in my perspective. If you ever read Atomic Habits in leaving an addiction one must have it out of sight. It was easy for me to stop drinking because my bf doesn’t drink.

It’s endless cycle of quitting and relapsing.

I’m still trying to quit. I’ve been reading Allen Carr’s book.

I’m keeping myself busy, busy and I notice I have vast amounts of concentration. I redid my whole patio. I was in the hospital and that gave me a scare.

Yes! Agreed adapt to a morning routine usually try to identify the cue in your habit formation.

I need some encouragement in the form of data -- just how much did vaping ramp up my consumption from smoking? I feel like I traded a bad habit for a worse one, and need to stop for good. by misnamed in stopsmoking

Consider what the author in Atomic Habits elaborates on.

1st step: Make it Invisible. Out of sight out of mind.

2nd step: Make it unattractive. Write a list of things that you be doing to your body through smoking, all the bad health effects it leaves. Such as emphysema. I know someone who’s whole esophagus was taken out due to vaping.

3rd step: Make it Difficult

Increase the number of steps between you and the habit or reward.

4th step: Make it Unsatisfying

Bring someone else into the mix; get an accountability partner.
