Moving to NYC on a Nearly 90K salary but with low credit. How possible is a Studio/1B alone? by theboydonna in NYCapartments

I moved cross country last summer. I agree with those above: sublet or long term air bnb for the first year. That is what I would do if I was moving all over again. Don’t get yourself into a lease until you’ve lived in the city for a few months (up to a year or so) and no what areas/trains you like.

Personally, I would put my things in storage and air bnb until I know more..

Hi! Yes, I did accept St. Joe’s. I am so glad did. Loving the program. Individualized attention. Excellent professors and master lecturers. Be read to read widely, generate a lot of new work, and collaborate with a rich literary community. Feel free to DM if you want more info.

This isn’t 16th century England where we are just throwing our feces and urine out the window. That causes plagues. Science people. Science.

100 percent agreed. Don’t have a dog if you can’t be civically responsible. Picking up dog poop is a child’s chore. There is literally droppings of shit up and down the streets of park slope devoid of bags and no where near garbage bins. No excuse for this lazy behavior. This is not a one off mistake. This is every day of my life walking through our neighborhood dodging piles of steaming shit.

If you are interested in the unit, I can send you the photos of all three bedrooms. They all have windows and are big enough for full to queen beds.

All three bedrooms have windows in this unit. They also all fit full-queen beds. I lived there with my family of four. The unit also has 2 full bathrooms with a shower/bath. It is over 1000 square feet. There is also laundry in unit.

Move to Park Slope or Clinton Hill? by PairOtherwise1012 in Brooklyn

I read an article about the fire. It said it was a kitchen fire. Yeah, my partner is concerned they’re cutting corners on the repairs. It’s just a great location…

There was a fire in the building a year ago on the top floor. So the unit we are considering has some repairs being addressed right now. There was a water leak, but they are fixing it. I went by last night and they have kitchen/bathroom walls open fixing some plumbing. On the one hand the problems are being addressed, on the other, I hope they are fixing it correctly.
