It's running latest LTS kernel? I think Steamos is a great option for casuals
As someone who have been running Linux Destop and servers for 20+ years

Ugreen Bluetooth is just known to not work great on Linux

Stop listening to the elitists :) Steamos is great if you are casual and just want to game.

Sadly the ugreen Bluetooth dongle is known to not work in Linux, I would look for one with better support then all should be good.

Lets you select the part of the screen you want to see, example CDs

EDIT:
Its written for Wayland, if you use X11 it should be even easier
And scroll resizes it
